Costas

We were meeting with Draven now that I knew Millie dropped off the book to him. A plan needed to form, so I hid under my fake beard and makeup I learned to paint on for these moments. Hopefully, my coworkers wouldn't look too closely. Not many did after seeing my face matched my ID.

"I have the book," Draven started the conversation. "I just need to know the proper dose to take."

"The whole thing," I directed him to do it properly.

"How is all of this going to work?" Tony leaned in. "We still haven't planned how this is going to go when we pull this off, or the other steps to do it."

"Well, she doesn't have much to take with us. Nothing in her apartment is worth packing other than her clothes. I can grab those when I grab her."

"And the boyfriend?" Draven growled.

"He'll be easy enough to execute." I shrugged.

"No." Tony shook his head. "As much as I want to see that loser in the ground, Emilia will learn we killed him, and I don't think she'd forgive us for that one. Plus, him having to grow up and take care of himself would be a fine punishment for the slacker."

"True," Draven murmured. "But how does Costas handle him without him calling 911?"

"I break his phone and growl at the fucker to leave. I'll go through her window like Tony did the other week and come out through the main door after breaking his phone, or I can easily bring in a blocker that won’t let him use his phone until he’s far enough away from me."

"What do you mean like Tony did the other week?" Draven glared at his boyfriend from my slip of the tongue. Tony didn't get angry, he just leaned in closer to tell Draven.

"I was snooping through the windows before we tracked her, and I found her." Clearing his throat, he hinted at the devious masturbation. "She called out our names, so when she fell asleep, I couldn't control myself."

"You raped her?" Draven's eyes panicked.

"No, not in the penetration sense. I just let my tip skim her entrance and held her as I got off. She kept making the most precious sounds like she recognized me in her slumber. It's been hard not to go back."

"I won't let him," I added.

"Good." Draven nodded. "We can't have that on our backs when stealing her from her life too."

"I plan to tell her once she's more comfortable with us. I just couldn't stop. Her beauty bathed under the moonlight for me to see everything, and I needed more. She drove me to the edge of madness. I'm not sure I've come back quite yet."

"Don't come back until we've finished this," I whispered. "We need to remember sound minds can't pull off what we're about to."

"And we need to figure out the smaller bits." Tony added to my words.

"I already have a plan. If I'm the one on shift, I'll be the new guy to haul the body to the morgue. I've made you a state ID that says you're transport for the body. You'll be the one I hand the body to when you arrive with the van. Clearly, we'll have to sabotage the other driver, and you'll have to handle that for the most part because I'll be getting Millie."

"When were you going to tell me this?" Tony asked because he felt left out.

"You've been handling business while here, so I've been putting the plan together to not add more to your plate. I'm the one who has to create everything anyway."

"Okay, so when do I take the poison?" Draven changed the subject to get back on track.

"It'll kick in fast. Wait until after three in the morning for the hustle and bustle to die down. They'll think it’s less likely a second plan is in place when it's done during quiet hours. I'll be the one to find you from doing my rounds fifteen minutes after. To the touch, you'll be dead, but your heart is just going to slow so much, it can't be felt. I'll hand off to Tony a vial of adrenaline to give you once you're in the van. You'll feel drowsy and tired, but you'll be fine."

"And you're sure the dose is correct?" Tony worried over his lover.

"Have I ever been wrong before?" Even though I acted calm and collected, I also knew the risks we were about to take when it came to his life. Nothing ate at me more when I tried to sleep than this plaguing idea. Logically, I knew my work was solid, but always felt different when we had to pull it off on a real body. A body that housed my friend.

"I trust you, Costas. I know your math is never wrong." Draven placed his trust in me too easily. I didn't know if I could ever do the same. "We need to make sure we grab her cat. Millie said her cat and best friend are the two things she can’t live without."

"So are we kidnapping her friend too?" Tony asked. "She's brought up Kasey to me as well. I'd hate for her to lose the only good in her life. She's already going to lose her favorite spot."
