Sipping my drink from the bar, I had been tracking Kasey as she did her job. For the most part, she entertained on the stage, steering clear of the greedy hands who wanted a lap dance from her. It made me wonder why because I knew how lucrative private moments could be. In a way, I felt her burden that made me understand.

Day in and day out, she was forced to perform for horny men who didn't like being told the word no. She subjected herself to being touched by them because it paid better than common places of work that didn't require a higher education, but even then, stripping proved to be the best profit. Too many desperate men wanted tempted into cheating or they couldn't get it naturally. While I understood the second problem personally, I didn't want to pay for someone to feed me lies about being attracted to my monstrous form.

Kasey kept up her appearances and did her shows early before picking up a tray to start delivering drinks. Her eyes were tired and showed how miserable she was when her back turned away from the men who only wanted to touch her large breasts and thick ass. After seeing her topless on the stage, they thought being grabby in her passing was okay. It made me want to intervene for her, but I couldn't. This career had been the path she chose.

She kept toying with the other men like their advances were funny, but I could see the glare in her eyes after they couldn't see her face. Living in her loneliness, she at least had enough of a brain to know none of these men were proper suitors. While they craved her voluptuous figure, they'd never care for her heart. Another thing I understood. The whores back at the compound often enjoyed the size of my manhood, but they preferred the lights off or to ride me in reverse. None of them could stomach the scars that decorated my body, and they pretended the one on my face could be ignored after they stared too long at it.

Taking a heavier swig of my third drink, I didn't have much time before I needed to retrieve Millie. My shift was in an hour, so I had to get Kasey alone soon and away from prying eyes. Sadly, the woman didn't do private sessions for me to hire her services out of the main area. After I had asked earlier, the bartender pointed to the easy ones for me to make better judgment calls.

Kasey brought back her tray and set it on the counter for the tender to collect for more. Before drinks could be placed on it, Kasey stopped her. "I'm going to go have a smoke for a second."

"You okay?" the female behind the counter asked.

"I'm just not in the mood for grabby hands, so I need some nicotine to help ease that stress before I punch one of them in the teeth."

Snorting, the bartender shooed the woman out. This was my moment, so I placed plenty of money on the counter before the tender could witness me get up too. If she saw me leaving right after asking about a certain girl, she'd know something was up. While her hands were busy with a group of frat boys on the other end, I scurried out of the building. The hundred-dollar tip should keep her quiet for a while.

In the back alley, I had my SUV already parked with the seats down in the back to let her body lie easier. The woman noticed the nicer model, but she missed the missing plates that would leave me unmarked. She took a long drag from her cigarette and closed her eyes while wearing a thin jacket over her lingerie.

"Long night?" I announced myself.

She huffed and slowly released it, allowing her eyes to scan over the threat beside her. Smart woman, already reaching into her bag for pepper spray. "Depends who's asking."

Her keen eyes already recognized me from the day I had to buy the gift card for Millie's boyfriend. Shrugging, I leaned against the wall to appear less threatening. "Depends. Got an extra cig?"

Kasey thought it over before her hand let go of the spray to fetch me a stick. Handing it to me, she then got the lighter out. I lit up right beside her and let the smoke encompass my lungs, feeling the expansion of the drugs ease my own worries for a single moment. Smoking would never be good for anyone, but I picked up the habit after learning to kill so easily. It helped with my stress and anxiety. These days, I didn't smoke often, but tonight called for my old friend.

"Rough day, huh?" She observed my behavior. I took another draw, feeling my heart settle into a smoother beat. Having more control, I dropped the cigarette and rolled my shoulders.

"Actually, it's about to be a rough night." Clicking the unlock button to the SUV, I also revealed a white cloth from my pocket. Being wise, Kasey's mind formulated no one was around to hear her scream, and she stood right beside me. Her eyes went to where I assumed they would. "I'm also wearing protection over my penis, so knee me if you want."

"For fuck's sake?" She took another puff and closed her eyes. Crossing her arms, I wondered if she planned to run by drawing this out. When she reopened her eyes, she tracked the movements within my own. "Why?"

"My boss is quite fond of your friend. She has mentioned many times that her life would be empty without you, so we're taking you too."

"You're kidnapping Millie?" A little fight finally found her. The woman readied to contest me for that one, tossing her cigarette to the side.

"Only to give her a better life, I promise. Plus, you and I both know that you'll just hurt yourself standing against me. Why not be comfortable in your travels?"

She mulled it over, hating how right I was. Chewing her lip, she nodded her head to the back of the car. "You're going to let me lay down first. I'm not letting you whack my head on something, and if you hurt Mills, I fucking cut your dick off where you sleep."

"You'll fit right in," I muttered before ushering her to the open trunk.

"I'm assuming this has something to do with that man in prison so relay my warning. No one hurts Millie." She got in and allowed me to cover her mouth with the chloroform. I had no doubt I'd want to sleep through this part too. Once she fell unconscious, I knew I needed to work fast for no one to see me cuffing her hands. Making sure she wouldn't hit her head, I closed the back and went to the front. Millie wouldn't be a hard one either. I'd be planting a book on her step while waiting in her room for her with a scrambling device to keep anyone from using their phones. Part of me wanted her to run so I could chase... unlike her friend right now.

With how easy that was, I didn't know if it made Kasey a fool or wiseman for making it so simple. Maybe she didn't want to fight like she confessed in her place of work. Maybe her hopes were that far gone. Or maybe she knew her best friend would need her in the coming days. Kasey seemed like that kind of friend, and I heard how Millie spoke of her. No matter what, I felt an odd level of respect for the woman who lied unconscious in the back of my rental.

Millie

Retreating to my room after feeding Whiskers, my excitement nearly bubbled over because a package sat on my porch. It was addressed to me and felt like a book, so I wanted some privacy to open it. My mind raced about who would send it, and the men who came to mind made me feel guilty. Taking it to my room, I wondered if I would need to return it, but I also couldn't stomach parting with something so sweet.

Entering my room, my hands were already working off the fold to open it. In my haste, I missed the lurking shadow on the side of the room by the window. Before I could pull the book out, I felt the shift in the air to hone my senses against the darkness across from me. My hand swiftly reached for the light switch behind my back to see if my imagination made the dark blob of a man.

My imagination hadn't been that talented as the man appeared in all black. He stood across from me with my packed duffle bag on the bed, letting me know he'd gone through my things. Heaving for breath, I knew he didn't come though my window for kicks and giggles. The man had other plans, and he had been following me, studying me to fulfill them. He knew where I lived and what window to climb through for Tim not to notice. This man was a professional, and it made me assume he could only be a serial killer who did this too many times before.

In a single second, I knew I needed to run. My legs took off from instinct because fighting wouldn't be an option against someone like him. "Tim!"
