Her eyes swept my way, calculating anything that might've happened to her body while in my care. I kept reading my book like I didn't notice the woman had roused. First, she smacked her lips together, announcing their parched state. She then kept clearing her throat like she needed moisture inside and could summon it. Moving from side to side, I had to wonder if she checked her body for any violations while she'd been out. My patience grew thin with than one.

Sighing, I slammed my book shut and turned her way, scaring the cat snuggled into my lap. Whiskers calmed down once he saw no immediate threat to his comfort. "No one has touched you other than me to carry you aboard. If you are thirsty, I can acquire you a beverage. Use your words, please."

"I'm not a toddler," Kasey huffed. "And if you're as rich as I think you are, get me some wine to fight the headache your chloroform gave me."

This woman had a mouth, but it secretly pleased me to know someone in Millie's life did. Flagging down the flight attendant, she saw me and moved proximately. Speaking to her in Spanish, she hailed from Draven's compound in Spain. Letting her know we needed a bottle and glass for the woman beside me, she dipped her chin and went to fetch the wine with a cheese platter. For being out so long, I knew she hadn't had much time to eat during her shift either.

"Spanish, huh? Are you Hispanic?" Kasey drilled me with her first question.

"I am Italian, but Draven's manor is in Spain. We often go back and forth between his and Tony's in Italy. Until the news dies down of Draven's fake death, we will be housed in his family's compound."

"Draven? Isn't that the sonofabitch Millie was visiting in the prison?"

"Mhmm." I hummed while picking up my book.

"And you're just freely sharing this with me?" She eyed me like I had to be up to something. Good. Her lack of trust would keep the skin on her back from being ripped apart.

"You are not a prisoner, Kasey. We needed you for Millie to feel more secure in our home. You are a guest."

She lifted her hands in the cuffs, giving me an incredulous look. Before I could respond, Ana arrived with the wine bottle. Setting down the food and empty glass, she popped the cork, but when she went to pour it, Kasey snagged the bottle out of her hand. The woman drank straight from the neck, sighing in relief once her mouth filled with the fermented grape juice.

"Gracias," I said and drew the attendant from being frozen. They weren't quite used to a feral woman, but that was the only word my mind could piece together to describe the unladylike way Kasey sat and chugged. Scarfing down some cheese, she chomped at it like a savage. The woman walking the aisle excused herself to not witness another minute of it.

Kasey kept her gaze out the window like she didn't need to ask anything else. It blew my mind to see her so at ease. "Are you not distressed to be kidnapped?" My mouth opened before I could think better of it.

"I work myself to the bone every night and deal with perverted men who would hurt me if our bodyguards weren’t there. While I don't trust you, I know you've told me the truth. And what you see as kidnapping, I'm seeing as a free, all-inclusive vacation. I don't have to let disgusting hands touch me for a better tip, and I get to see another country. Both things were far down my bucket list just yesterday."

Huh. Her reasoning felt either foolish or well within reason. I gained a small bit of admiration for the woman Millie kept close.

"So you're the hired help, huh?" She guzzled more wine, already halfway through the expensive bottle.

"Yes."

"And I'm the best friend who was lucky enough to have a mafia prince fall in love with her bestie." Kicking her legs out on the seat beside her, she kept her glance out the window. "If any of you harm her, I will kill you. I don't care how trained you are, I know how to kill someone where they sleep."

"You threatened me yesterday with something similar. I will remember your words, miss."

"Sure you will." With that, Kasey settled into the fact her life had been whisked away from everything she knew. How she'd never know I desired to have the same thing, but I'd never be able to leave this one.

Arriving back at the compound felt weird after being in America so long. Everyone kept staring, remembering my importance. While in the city, no one knew me other than the circles we ran in. Hating it, I thought of Astrid because she got out of it. She escaped this cruel life without ever truly stepping into it. Speaking of, I left a note under her door to ship whatever book Millie's club would be reading so she could stay within the know.

"Home sweet home." Draven looked ahead, holding a duffle bag over his shoulder. "Do you want to carry Sunshine, or would you rather have me do it? I think I'm strong enough now that we've had the flight to repair my body."

"I'll grab her. Why don't you go get something to eat?" Secretly, I squeezed his ass where only Costas would see. He had to help Kasey inside. Her drunk ass held an empty flute of champagne, and her lips covered the open hole to take a swig straight from the bottle.

"I am so ready for the royal treatment," Kasey slurred. Her coat was open for us to see the outfit she wore to work. It made me hate the life she lived too, but we could help her like we planned to help Emilia.

Heading to the back of the SUV, I opened it to see Millie still out cold. We gave her one more dose to induce her a little longer, but she'd be waking up sometime later today or in the morning. My hands moved to where I wouldn't hurt her sleeping form. Holding her to me, I inhaled her delicious honey scent, tempted for another taste of her sleeping body. My cock grew hard at the idea, but I wanted to have her for real before I kept taking her during the night. Emilia would learn how often my cock desired to be buried deep inside her.

"You're having horny thoughts, aren't you?" Draven's eyes rested on the tenting of my pants. Even through his sunglasses, I could see them with the help of the sun behind me.

"It's hard not to when she's so innocent. It makes her corruption too tempting." My answer made him laugh as he headed inside.

Walking behind everyone else, I found my father rushing out the door in a haste he rarely used. Typing something off, I felt my back pocket vibrate, knowing he was sending me a text to tell me his need to leave overpowered being here when I returned. Too bad for him, I didn't announce my arrival until we needed a lift to Draven's home.
