His shoulder kept lifting slightly, telling me his foot restlessly tapped the floor. My Italian partner had the looks of his blood, tanner than me even though my father was a Spaniard. Marrying my American mother just made it easier for his travels to the U.S. where he wanted to expand his business. That’s how I ended up in this city because I moved here to run our American end of business thanks to my dual citizenship. Though, I knew if I ever got out of here, I could never return to my mother’s land.

“I just came to say it’ll take me some more time to figure out this mess, but I’ll need you ready the second I can make it work. Costas finished visiting Alexander’s family, so he will be joining us soon.” Tony exhaled, and I identified it came from the hardships of a prison break. They weren’t easy to master, and I knew Tony would tire himself out to make his plan perfect.

“I wouldn’t change what I did,” I coolly replied. “He deserved to die.”

“Yes, well, how about next time, you make sure a camera isn’t present when you avenge your sister?”

“Deal,” I laughed, but it sobered quickly when my sister came into my mind. “How is she?”

Tony shifted in his seat, knowing he couldn’t lie to me. “She seems almost nonexistent. It’s like her body moves, but she has no soul anymore. I’ve gotten her the best care back in Spain, but she won’t speak. She barely eats enough to live, and I had to give her an I.V. last week. I’m deeply concerned for her wellbeing, Dray.”

After hearing that, so was I. Leaning my head against the glass, I closed my eyes, forced to live in my regret. It stemmed from not being there for her when she needed me most, but it meant the world to me Tony took charge for her care. Blinking slowly and lifting my gaze, I let him see the emotion peeking through. “I love you.”

His head quickly swiveled to see who might be in earshot of our conversation. Looking back at me with his panic, he fixed his tie from feeling a tightness in his throat. “Dray, you need to be more careful. I feel the same, but we need to protect our families.”

“I just needed you to hear it, and I’m starting to get to the point I don’t care who hears me.”

“You might if someone in there catches wind you swing that way.”

“Please,” I scoffed. “Like any of them could turn me into a bottom. I’d kill them with the suffocation of my cock before that happened.”

For the first time, I saw true humor in the quirk of his lip. “And some bottoms only open up for one cock to impale themselves on.”

Just like that, I felt the stirring in my pants as a warning to the hardness about to grow. Clearing my throat and readjusting, Tony loved making me think of all the dirty times I had his ass bouncing on my dick. Licking his lips, his mind went there too. Before we could let the rest of the people in the room see it, I changed the subject.

“I need you to do something for me on the outside that I can’t, thanks to my new living status.”

“What?”

“I met a woman in here the other day, and I need to know more about her.”

“Did you get a crush?” he teased.

“Something like that, but I need to know what skeletons she has, and if you’ll like her too.” After I said it, Tony went silent. It wasn’t uncommon for us to share a girl for a night, but we knew it would be hard to find a woman okay with two men being lovers too. “She’s… different.”

“Aren’t they all when we catch feelings and can’t see them clearly?” he argued wisely.

“Hence why I’m asking you to do a little digging on her.” I gave him a look he knew better than to ignore. “I’ll hear the truth from you, even if I’d rather pretend that she was the angel I saw.”

Tony kept his stare level with mine as he deliberated within himself over it. Knowing I wouldn’t budget until he found something revolting, he sighed in resignation. “What’s the name?”

“Millie Carmichael, but I’m pretty sure her name is shortened. Her father is the psychologist of the prison, so it shouldn’t be too hard if you go through his credentials to find hers.”

“You’ve been planning this, haven’t you?”

“Does it look like I have time for much else in this hellhole? I’m fixating and planning what I can do when I see her next week again.” I could tell I surprised him with that. “She runs the book club to help us inmates spend our time wisely.”

“She literally reads to you like a bunch of elementary students?”

“And I wait on bated breath for every word.” Hearing the honesty in my tone, he knew it was up to him to prove my theory right or wrong about the woman I couldn’t stop myself from dreaming about. Our time together came to an end, but I knew Tony would visit me as often as possible. I also knew he flew in as fast as he could after arranging all of his tasks for his men to take over. He did this because he loved me as much as I loved him.

Tony

What was I doing? It felt wrong to follow this stranger, but I knew I had to. If Draven felt tripped up over some girl, I needed to squash his fantasies with physical backing for why she wouldn’t be a good fit. My stakeout also involved digging into her past, but I had my tech guy on top of that, already on his way to join me. Between reading his findings through text on my phone and watching her through her typical day, I had to say, she hid her crimes well.

No one could be this squeaky clean. She was the poster child for good behavior, but I knew they were the ones who usually had bigger scandals to hide. Scanning over her perfect attendance and excellent grades, I began to wonder if she had issues with her parents, but I knew that didn’t fit. After listening from a few distances, I heard how she talked to her father without needing to hear his end to know the love was equal.
