"I'm the most trained fighter," Costas panicked, knowing his original order had been to protect Tony. Mario was always direct with his tasks, and Costas never wanted to disappoint the man we assumed was his biological father. "You'll need me for raiding Gustav's home."

Gustav had been a lowlife who helped Alexander spread the content of my sister's rape. Apparently, the dipshit I killed had a safety plan, and it included posting a minor's rape online for the world to view, and it had been viewed before Costas pulled it down. Who knows how many saved it to their filthy devices? But now the world knew why I killed the sonofabitch. If only it went far enough to get my name cleared.

"We can handle Gustav," I growled.

"Oh? Are you planning on seeing red again and ignoring being told to pull out? Am I going to have to fake being a guard to get you out? Or are you forgetting how much your stunt cost all of us?" Costas rarely spoke out of turn, but I could see how bothered this made him. "You might be the most notorious mafia prince, Draven De Luca, but you hinder a lot of us by doing whatever the hell you want. If you want Gustav dead, I'll do it cleanly and soundlessly to ensure we don't have to spend months breaking you out of jail again."

"While I appreciate your candid response, Costas, this is my call. Those who hurt my family will have their blood spilled over my knuckles. No exception." I shook my head. The rage he spoke off begged to leak a little now. My fist wanted to connect against my friend's face, but I knew my lust for vengeance blinded my reason. Costas tried to be opposite of what my soul craved.

"Well, shit," a female scoffed from the entry of my office. Unlike our employees, Kasey didn't listen to rules. I knew Costas told her never to enter my office, but she did what she wanted to. "And here I was beginning to wonder if someone revoked your bad boy cards when you fell for my sweet and innocent bestie."

This woman never listened, and she had been there for quite a while, eavesdropping. Panic flared within me because I didn't know if she heard the part about us killing Gustav. "How long have you been there?"

"Long enough to know you're having Millie trouble, and to know you're ordering a hit and executing it yourself." Shrugging, she entered fully and closed the door behind her. Grabbing an apple from my fruit bowl, she took a bite like none of it bothered her. When she read the confusion between the three of us, she delighted in throwing us through a loop. "You know I'm a stripper, right?"

"Yes?" Tony hesitated, not wanting to offend her.

"Chicago is chuck full of families like yours. They all fight for power, they all scheme, and they all have places they run money and meetings through. Guess where a common place was?" Winking she, turned her back to us to walk out of the room. "Your secret is safe with me. I've seen more than one idiot get their brains blown out to prove whose dick is bigger. As for what to do about Mills? Make a god damn move on her. Seriously, you're mafia men. Be the ones she read about. But if she comes back to me and says she didn't cum, I'll-"

"Cut our balls off, I know," Costas finished her threat. It made me wonder how often he'd heard it.

She smirked over her shoulder with her hand on the handle of the door. "I'm so glad my intentions have been made clear. Don't think for one second that I haven't had to brawl with the worst of the worst in the cesspool my line of work provides. Now that we understand each other, we'll get along better."

Exiting, she closed the door. We stood in shock of what she revealed, unprepared for her admissions. Tony sucked in a hard breath before letting it out. "Anyone see that coming?"

Costas cleared his throat. "She comes off so innocent too. I'd never have a clue she dealt with other areas of our lives."

"Well, we know now to be careful. There's a level of crazy in her eyes that makes her feel more unhinged than I've ever seen anyone other than myself before," I added.

"But she's right," Tony murmured. We gave him the floor. "Emilia expected us to whisk her off her feet, but we've been too kind giving her space. We need to force our proximity on her and see how she responds."

"You shouldn't do the first sexual act with her together, though." Costas called us his way. "It'll spook someone like her. She feels like she couldn't please one man, so two might overwhelm her."

"It should be Draven," Tony volunteered me.

"Me? Why not you?"

"I've experienced hugging her and having her close without cuffs and eyes on me." He leaned forward to give my cheek a kiss. "You deserve to be the one she blooms for. Plus, I have a project to finish upstairs."

His ease made it easier to agree, and his trust in me warmed my chest. "Okay, I'll be the one to go, but I want you to know I'd rather have her together."

"If this relationship is going to work, we need to grow in the understanding it might not be three every time. Just like us on the plane. I'm okay with what's to come, but are you?"

His words halted me. Was I okay knowing the man I loved would fuck this woman without me? My feelings for her only grew, but were we there yet? Was I in a place I could let them have a personal relationship without me? Then it dawned on me we already had been. Tony met her for coffee dates and on her runs and trips to the bookstore. I had my sessions in the prison. We'd both been honest about where we saw it going and what happened.

"I am because we've already been doing it." Letting my eyes meet his, I knew this would be a transitional phase for us. "Our communication has proven to work when we've been with her without the other. I trust us, and I trust her to respect our bond too."

"As do I." He grinned his handsome smile my way. I felt my front gently falling forward to meet his lips, tasting his ocean scent for the first time today because we hadn't been without prying eyes until now. Costas would be the only one to know our truths, and he even hid it from his boss for us.

"Well, as much as this is unpleasurable for me, we need to redirect this to your plans that exclude me going with you." Costas removed his eyes from us as I pulled away.

"Tony's mother arrives soon. I'll talk to Mario tonight and ensure the best plan of action is to have you stay back with her. He won't be able to deny her importance to the families," I said.

"And if he tries to argue me being the heir, remind him that I'm on com duty." Tony patted Costas's shoulder before moving around him to leave. He'd been painting again, but he told me the painting was a surprise for Millie. Either way, I loved seeing him pick up his brush again. Following behind him, I had a woman to find, and I knew she'd be in the library.

"You're the best guard, Costas. This isn't because we see you as less. In fact, I'm trusting you with caring for the only woman I've ever loved outside of my family. It might sound displeasing, but she hasn't seen what our world is, not like Kasey. Protect her because I feel like we have a mole somewhere within our ranks. This mission is for my personal revenge, but I need to see what gets fed."

"Understood, sir. I'll isolate the girls that night away from here and see who comes." Costas dipped his chin. No one would know until the day of about him staying behind, so the word wouldn't pass around fast enough for many to know Millie would be left unattended. Dipping my chin to him, I made my way to the library. It was time to see if Sunshine truly wanted me.
