"Like it already has." Tony shrugged. "In all honesty, you've spent just as much time with her as we have, Costas. What you chose to do during that time is yours to decide, but I am just letting you know we feel comfort knowing it's you who loves her too. Someone we respect and know enough about to allow access to our relationship. If it had been anyone else, they'd be strung up on the banister in warning for all else who dared love her, but it's you."

Walking away, he knew I'd need more time than an evening to come to terms with his words. He gave me permission to pursue the woman of my dreams, but it would also come at the cost of sharing her with them. Would I envy their bond over time, or could I make it work? With those thoughts plaguing me, I knew my time for rest had come. We still had a party to crash in a few days, so my attention would be needed there before I attempted anything with Millie.

"He's so..." My mind couldn’t formulate the right words for how Rocco made me feel, but it wasn't butterflies. He'd been on his phone an awful lot since arriving, but I didn't know if it had to do with being helpful or secretly plotting. My purity never called for me to act their certain way, but I would to protect what was mine.

"Handsome? Rugged? Bold?" Kasey fanned herself. "I know."

"You've already slept with him, haven't you?" I sat up on the lounge chair to scold her, knowing she had after Tony and I heard them in the square the other day. Sofia giggled and kept reading her magazine. After whatever talk she and Kasey shared, the younger girl came out of her shell a lot more.

"Please." Kasey rolled her eyes. "I seduced him into a quickie the second he came back from wherever he went after their meeting. If I have little time to fool around with men who can please me, I'm going after the prime meat. Rocco lived up to that challenge... twelves times already."

"Jesus," I muttered at her shameless antics.

"Nothing has changed about me chasing my desires." She shrugged.

"So you're still sleeping with all the guards?"

"Nah, he was wise and set rules. We only fuck each other if I want his giant schlong between his legs to be buried inside of me. The size alone had me saying yes, so here I am, feeling like a kept woman."

"You?" I asked in disbelief.

"We know it'll never be a long-term thing, Mills, but the fling is worth every aching step I take afterward. I've never had a man give me so many orgasms in one session. He uses them as punishment instead of spanking me, and I love it."

"I'm not sure what to do with this information," I replied.

"You're going to let me enjoy my last few days with him as you date your men. He leaves after the thingy thing that can't be discussed in open areas, so just let me live in my bliss for the two weeks I get it in." She sipped her cocktail.

Waving her off, I stood from my chair. "Speaking of, I'm going to the room Tony painted for me if either of you need me."

"Mhmm..." She never took her eyes off the man standing out in the open. He couldn't see through her sunglasses like I could, but I had a bad feeling about him I couldn't get rid of. I didn't know if he caused it or if something would be coming. Either way, I knew this weekend held a lot of weight.

Draven and Antonio rarely left the office because they were making plans and changing them constantly. I knew the gist, but they wouldn't tell me everything, just in case. I also knew Sofia would be leaving today to head out to their vineyard for whatever duration she needed to feel better. I applauded her choice, and her bravery to ask Draven to go. It couldn't have been easy on her to do it, so I told her to keep in touch and text me often.

Heading inside, I found no one around the foyer of the home. Standing in the square, I debated going upstairs or not because it felt too empty down here. That's when I found the three men I knew well heading toward the front like something big was happening. Costas kept fixing the collar of his shirt and squaring away how his shirt sat tucked into his slacks. Tony and Draven acted like they were calm and collected, but I could tell something ate at them.

None of them noticed me, but I paid keen attention as the front doors to the home were opened. In came a few guards holding duffel bags as an older man walked between them. They were almost an entourage for the proud man. His glasses hid his eyes, but I felt the moment he found me underneath them. Locking up, I didn't move as the corner of his mouth kicked up, but his attention got pulled away faster than it landed on me.

"Mario!" Tony greeted him first with a hug. Draven shook his hand, and Costas barely dipped his chin. For a man who should've been like a father to someone, the greeting felt forced. "You didn't tell me you were planning on coming in."

"After our phone call last week, I felt it was only right to come and help, so I finished my tasks and came as soon as I could. Now, how about you boys tell me what we're up against and what plan you have to handle it?"

Mario didn't wait for the boys to show him back to the office. He knew it already and made them follow. His firm behavior told me he didn't know much kindness, but he didn't seek it out like the guys did either. Hardened, he made me feel like I was in the company of Antonio's mother all over again.

Looking rather dapper, I had to keep my eyes from falling to Tony's ass in the presence of our new company. He and Costas whispered in front of me about something, but I didn't pay attention with my man’s ass right before my view. Only allotting myself a short window to stare, I had to mask everything back up in order to move on and do what needed done.

That's when my daring eyes swept around the room to see our allies weren't in attendance, telling my father who they chose. Sadly, there were still secondary families in our midst that held enough power to rise with my father. My mind took note of each one, wondering what my father promised for them to be here at all.

"This feels off," Tony's words finally caught my attention as I drifted it back to the two I came with.

"We knew it would," Costas reminded us. Even then, I understood what my lover meant. We were being eyed like the hungry prey during an apex rising. Instinctively, my hand swung to my back, feeling for my gun. Under my suit, I wore a vest for protection just like the other two did. No one could see them, but we knew better than to come in blind with no protections in place.
