Jeffrey stood behind a chair to her right. Before him was a plate stacked high with pancakes. Maple syrup oozed over the sides and a pat of butter melted in the center of the very top. A cup of black coffee was perched nearby. “It’s going to be a busy day. It’s best to start it off with a lot of carbs for energy.” He pulled out the chair, and she started in his direction.

“Carbs will slow you down, Corinne-girl.” Eric said, and she paused to study him. He had a plate piled high with fruit and a glass of apple juice placed on the table in front of him. Eric pulled back the chair directly in front of the dish and gestured grandly for her to come forth.

Figuring Todd would have something to offer next, Corinne bit back her smile and turned to the left. She couldn’t wait to hear him explain the merits of the fried eggs, bacon and toast before him. But he didn’t say a word. Instead, he picked up a piece of crispy bacon and started nibbling on it. A tall, cold glass of chocolate milk completed his breakfast offering.

She had known ‘the Shrimp Guys’ since childhood and worked at their company for close to four years now. At times she had been charged with ordering early morning breakfasts for the group. If Jeffrey ordered, she had to call the local IHOP to accommodate his appetite. The poor man was constantly trying to bulk up, but his metabolism made it impossible. The other two guys teased him about getting a middle-aged belly if he didn’t change his diet, but Jeffrey pointed out he would enjoy eating what he liked until it became a life-changing concern.

Now if Eric was the one ordering an early morning meal, Corinne’s job was a bit more complicated. She had to rush off to the local grocery store and get them to make a fresh fruit tray. “Extra bananas,” she had to remind the workers. “No pears.” The former wide receiver was conscientious of everything he put in his body.

Todd never ordered breakfast. He ate whatever was put in front of him. A few times he even suggested Corinne surprise them with something different for their morning meals. She loved pancakes and fruit, but her go to breakfast was eggs over-easy, crispy bacon and ice-cold chocolate milk. There was something reassuring about his attention to her tastes.

She didn’t hesitate to walk over to the chair Todd stood behind. He fought dirty on the football field and in the boardroom. But he noticed details. Did that suggest he would be merciful during her time in the camp? Could she trust him to push her out of her comfort zone and back off if she got overwhelmed? Feeling bolder than she should be, Corinne leaned in close to the bulky former linebacker and dared to take a large bite from the bacon in his hand.

“I guess I’ll need to fix myself another plate,” Todd said, pulling out the chair and tucking her toward the food. “Unless you care to share?” He bent down low, and his hot breath caused the hair on her nape to stand on end. Then he bit her earlobe and damn if her pussy didn’t dampen.

Showing any sign of retreat now would only encourage him. “You can have the toast and one of the eggs, but the bacon is all mine.” Corinne wished her voice had more force behind it, but having such a dominant, sexy man so close made it husky, not sarcastic.

Jeffrey and Eric muttered a few choice words under their breath and sat down to eat their own meals. Todd took the fork Corinne was reaching for. She gave him an inquisitive glance. He might have assumed she was concerned by the other men’s reaction. By way of explanation, he offered, “During our four days here, it would be unfair to make you submit to all three of us all at once. We didn’t come into this contract without careful consideration, babygirl. From your preferred search history, we agreed you weren’t very experienced with this type of play.”

“So, you’re going to release me from the terms of the agreement?” She didn’t know if she was relieved or disappointed. Damn, damn, damn.

All three gentlemen chuckled at the notion. They exchanged dark expressions, communicating without words again. Corinne groaned. At work, she found their bond comforting because it gave them the advantage over people negotiating deals with the company. But in this setting, she was the outsider. It was nerve-wracking.

Todd gave a barely perceptible shake of his head before continuing to explain. “Not a chance. Each of us is itching to get our hands on you, but you will only have to answer to one of us today, though all three of us will take part in the play. This way you’ll always know who is in charge and has the final say in what happens or doesn’t.”

Instantly panic coursed through her body. This was becoming all too real. What had she gotten herself into? Should she end it now before things got even more intense? “But I have my safeword,” she said, reminding herself as much as them. “We all agreed I had the final say-so on what I feel comfortable doing when I, er we play this game.” Her mouth popped open to add more to her comment, and Todd filled it with a large portion of egg.

“Indeed, you have your safeword,” he agreed before continuing. “Tomorrow one of the others gets his chance. Jeffrey, Eric and I are too competitive so it will be easier to define boundaries. From this moment on, you will call me Daddy.”

Corinne choked on her food, and Todd started slapping her back until she managed to cough up a bit of the egg that had lodged in her throat. “Funny thing,” he continued, “I never considered going by that title before your sassy little remark yesterday about pacifiers. I wanted to redden your cute little bottom for the disrespect before pulling you onto my lap for some sweet, soothing aftercare. Thanks for picking my offering, babygirl. I will cherish the honor of being your first top.”

Corinne swore to herself she would not eat breakfast for the remainder of their time at the camp. She had been tricked into playing by their rules in yet another manner. Still, it was nice to know they considered her level of inexperience in situations like this. She wouldn’t have to worry about which man’s orders trumped the others.

‘Daddy’ continued to feed her until the plate was empty, then insisted she drink all her chocolate milk. Leaving the dishes for the others to take care of, he guided a hesitant Corinne toward the back porch of the camp. She was stiff as he led her outside. The unknown aspects of this game terrified her. If she asked nicely, maybe Todd would fill her in on the different things expected of her this trip.

His huge hands guided her to a rocking chair. She sat down and pretended to take in the beauty before them. He didn’t say a word, but stood behind her, his huge hands working the tense muscles in her neck. That action, and the beautiful scenery surrounding them, comforted her nerves. She sighed with contentment for the first time since arriving here. Moss-covered trees filled the land on either side of them. Straight ahead, the water was dotted with cypress knees and lily pads. Fishing poles lined the corner of the overhang from the camp. She could imagine the Shrimping Guys drinking beers out here, poles resting on the rail as they waited for a fish to tug on their lines.

She’d been fascinated with all three of her bosses long before going to work for them, having been only one year behind them in high school. As a cheerleader, she’d gotten to watch the football team during practice and every game, but most of her attention had been on Eric that first year. He was built for speed, and he could catch damn near anything tossed his way. He was also a player, even back then. Eric had more girlfriends than most of the team combined. Word was he only dated girls who were willing to put out. As a preacher’s daughter, Corinne dared not consider such things without a wedding ring on her finger. Still, he’d been her first serious crush, even if she never actually spoke to him.

Her sophomore year, her interest had shifted to Jeffrey. He was talented quarterback who outran defensive players with ease, and his devilish smile made all the cheerleaders wild. The cheer sponsor had called Corinne out several times for paying too much attention to the hometown hero and not enough to her duties as cheerleader. She used to dream of him catching her, tucking her under his tan arms and rushing off to somewhere where no one could disturb them. But, Jeffrey tended to date the edgier girls at their school, and never appeared to notice the virginal sophomore longing to tame his wilder ways. She still enjoyed thinking about having Eric as a boyfriend, but Jeffrey had filled more and more of her fantasies that year.

The guys were seniors before she realized Todd even existed. He was ejected from a game for retaliating for a late hit on their team’s freshman receiver. The coach was pissed off because they ended up losing the game that night without their skilled halfback there to protect Eric in the pocket. Corinne heard the coach chewing Todd out after the loss. He‘d listened politely to everything the man screamed at him, not defending himself or offering any apologies. The receiver who was fouled on the play approached Todd when he assumed no one was watching. But Corinne was tucked in a dark corner, and she heard every word. The freshman starter had a promising career and other teams had started targeting him, trying to take him out of the game.

“You didn’t have to do that, Todd. Coach might make you sit out next week’s game now.” The younger player had to crane his neck way back to meet the halfback’s cobalt eyes.

“Buddy, I take care of my own. Next week’s game is against a team with jack shit for defense, but the offense generally puts beaucoup points on the board, which means we need to match them touchdown for touchdown. We need you in the game to win. Plus, after tonight, I promise you guys will think twice about fucking with you because they know I will make them regret it.”

Todd had asked Corinne to homecoming that year. She’d already turned down Eric because her mother refused to allow her innocent daughter to be seen with a sinful playboy. Playboy? Corinne remembered being embarrassed her mom insisted on using such an outdated term. More concerning to Corinne was the knowledge she couldn’t be sure Todd hadn’t just asked her out in a quest to outdo his best friend. By the time Jeffrey asked her to their senior prom, she decided she was a prize all three jerks wanted to collect and boast about winning.

Now she had a chance to learn all the dark, dangerous sins of all three men. If she had to start her ordeal with one of them in charge, she was pleased it was Todd. Smiling, she decided it was telling that he wanted her to call him Daddy. He was strong, protective and observant. She could trust him.

CHAPTER 4

GETTING DOWN TO DIRTY BUSINESS

Todd Guidry was a dirty, rotten bastard. He’d pulled her into a false sense of safety during the day, holding her hand and taking her on a walking tour around the camp. She’d seen a protective, relaxed side he rarely allowed others to know existed. At one point, he offered to catch some fish for their supper. She teased him because it was a long trek back to the camp and they hadn’t carried any fishing equipment with them on their stroll.

“Ye of little faith,” he said, forging offense. Then he lifted her chin with his index finger and placed a light kiss on her upturned lips. “Your doubt in my skill wounds me. I might as well drown myself with shame.”
