A muffled sound of amusement gave me pause. Was she laughing at me? I popped one eye open. The sensation of her tongue gliding along my length became less intense until it stopped. I no longer felt the strands of her hair between my fingers. When I looked down, disappointment pierced me between the ribs. My sensual goddess was gone, leaving me to stare at the sand. The laughter intensified, but it didn’t sound airy and feminine at all. It was familiar though. It sounded like… Alex…?

My eyes flew open and immediately I realized I’d been dreaming. Alex was relaxing on the chaise lounge on the balcony, staring at me through the open doors.

“Alex? What the hell are you doing here?” I growled.

He roared and slapped his knee. “Do you always hump your pillow in your sleep?”

With an irritated huff, I grabbed one of the pillows and sailed it at his head. Laughing, he swatted it away. I picked up the pillow I had been humping and covered my semi with it.

Christ. Charlotte giving me a blow job… What a dream. I wish I had stayed in my vision longer to see what else we’d do.

I glowered at a chuckling Alex as I sat up and combed my fingers through my hair. The morning breeze coming off the sea cooled my hot skin.

“How did you get in?”

We all had separate rooms and no one had the other’s keycard, and I didn’t leave my door unlocked before heading to bed.

Alex raised one eyebrow. “Seriously?”

I snorted. Right. He was a genius. He probably hacked the system with his pinky finger or something. Thank God he wasn’t an evil genius or the entire world would be in trouble.

“What happened to boundaries, man?” I asked. I was only slightly vexed. Alex was everyone's annoying but lovable younger brother.

“I only came in because we pounded on your door for a good five minutes this morning and you didn’t answer.”

“What time is it?” I grabbed my phone off the nightstand. My eyes bulged. “Fuck, it’s almost noon.”

“Exactly.” Alex sipped from a mug. “The others went on another adventure with Charlotte. I stayed back to make sure you hadn’t died in here. I was seriously worried. You never sleep late.”

I sighed. Well, then, I guess I could forgive him for breaking and entering. He was right. Sleeping in wasn’t my thing.

“You alright?” He watched me through narrowed eyes.

“Yeah. Took me a while to get to sleep last night.” Because of my guilt about betraying Lincoln and my non-stop thoughts about Charlotte. “I was tired.”

“I heard you murmuring about her.” Alex smirked.

I went absolutely still as my eyes locked on his face. Fucking hell. Did I say Charlotte’s name? I was so busted. “Who?”

“Your goddess.” He chuckled. “Who is she and why haven’t I met her yet?”

Thank God. “Nobody. Men have wet dreams about random women all the time.”

“Based on the amount of sickeningly sweet praises and words of adoration you murmured about your goddess, I’m calling bullshit. Come on, you can share. Your secret will be safe with me.”

As my gaze locked onto him, my heart pounded. What if I told him the truth? Would he think less of me, that I was deliberately trying to swipe Charlotte away from Lincoln? Which I wasn’t. I’d been fighting tooth and nail to not feel what I felt for her. But that would be what everyone might think. That would be what Lincoln would assume, and he’d hate me… No one can know.

Alex tilted his head as he studied me. “Is it that woman your father wants you to marry?”

Before, at the mention of my father’s ridiculous demand to marry a “suitable woman of equal status”, I never felt anything. No disdain, no reluctance… nothing, because I didn’t give a shit. I thought I’d never find a woman who could capture my interest enough for me to care about a real relationship so an arranged marriage was just another criterion of being a Winchester. After meeting Charlotte, fuck Dad’s idea about tying myself to some generic socialite who probably has a dull personality and no mind of her own. I wanted more because I’d seen the possibility of getting it.

“No. I’ve never even met her.”

“Huh.” Alex lifted an eyebrow. “Then who were you fantasizing about?”

“I’m not discussing my sex dream with you, Alex. Boundaries.”

He let out a dramatic sigh and stood up. “Fine. Now that I’ve seen for myself that you’re not dead, let’s go. I told everyone that as soon as you were up, we’d join them.”
