It’s hard to think that we finally were able to lay Pandora to rest with a proper funeral, six months ago and how far we have come since. There is peace in my chest now and we have an exciting day planned.

“Leo is going to love this house,” I gush to the guys.

“He will be a way better neighbor than our previous ones,” Lucien agrees.

After the news came out about Earl and his family, the little town embraced us and welcomed us with open arms. I even opened a storefront downtown for my jewelry. Their support was surprising and amazing.

We still have Grave Investigations but we all agreed that the store would help us settle into our new town.

Apparently, they didn’t want Earl’s old house hanging around for long. It was full of too much evil and I couldn't find it in me to be upset when we came home to firetrucks and smoke in the air as the old, empty house burnt down.

“I can’t believe we bought this land,” Jayce states as he glances around, “but it was a smart investment.”

“Yeah, after the whole Earl thing, I’m glad we can have a say in who our neighbors are,” Eli says, wrapping an arm around my waist as Leo pulls up in his sheriff’s truck.

We all watch as he steps out and comes toward us.

“This house is amazing, are you guys moving in here?” he asks as he stops next to Lucien.

“Us? Nah, we are still in the process of rebuilding our own house. This house is for you. If you don’t mind some spooky neighbors,” I tell him as I swing the keys in front of him.

“Are you serious? There is no way that I can afford this,” he confesses.

“We aren’t asking you to buy it. It’s a gift. You will have to pay for the utilities and taxes but there are no strings attached,” Jayce states, taking the keys from me and placing them in the sheriff’s palm.

“Besides, if it wasn’t for those assholes, you would be family already,” I smile at him, trying to keep the sadness out of it.

There is a little pink in his cheeks, “Only if you’re sure.”

“Go on and tour your new place. If you want help moving in, we’re happy to help you,” Lucien offers.

He smiles and heads toward the front door and Jayce follows him.

“Mind if I come along?” Jayce asks, “I didn’t get to see the finished product.”

“Not at all, I may need someone to pull my jaw off the floor,” Leo tells him before turning to the rest of us. “You three coming, too?”

“We’ll join you in a few. Rav has another surprise for you,” Eli winks before they disappear into the house.

“I think I’m more excited for this part of it than the house,” I squeal as I run behind the house to where the cute, little border collie is laying in the shade with a dandelion in her mouth. I slow my steps as I approach the mostly white puppy with black and brown spots. She looks up at me with her icy-blue eyes.

“Pandora, are you ready to meet Leo? He is just going to love you!” I tell the pup as I pick her up. The bell on her collar tinks and she licks my face. “Aww, you aren’t going to talk me into keeping you, sweet girl. I’d love to but Lucien is a cat person.”

“Oh sure, blame me,” he complains as he scratches her neck. “I thought you were still looking for that perfect puppy you want? A pure-white husky-wolf mix?”

I wink at him, because he is a hundred percent right, but I can’t say that in front of the puppy.

“Grab those supplies from the car?” I ask Eli.

“Already on it,” he says, jogging back to the front of the house as Lucien and I take our time.

“Are you sure you don’t want her?” Lucien questions as he arches a brow at me.

“Yes, there’s just a feeling I get that she is meant to be with Leo. The nice couple we got her from promised that we could also get one later if I change my mind,” I promise him. It’s a tempting offer.

As we arrive at the front door, Eli greets us with his arms overflowing with puppy supplies. Lucien takes a few as Eli asks, “Did you buy the whole store?”

I shrug at him and smirk as I knock on the door. I don’t want to take the puppy inside if Leo chooses not to take her.
