“So let me get this straight..” Blaine spoke, taking a bite of his chocolate chip cookie while he sat in the leather desk chair in Killian’s home office.

“Your father.. basically asked if you were in love with Brielle or had feelings, and you straight up lied to his face?” He asked, watching as Killian leaned against his desk in deep thought.

“That’s what I’ve explained for the last ten minutes, Blaine.”

“So before we continue… You’re in love with her, right?”

Killian sighed as he rolled his eyes. “For the hundredth time, yes, Blaine.” He didn’t feel the need to tell his father what his feelings were or see the need to get him involved. He would much rather consult Blaine and ask him for ‘advice,’ which was saying a lot.

“You need to tell her,” Blaine spoke with slight excitement, though Killian didn’t say anything in response.Taking another bite of his cookie, he spoke again. “What, do you not want to tell her?”

“Of course, I do,” Killian responded, and Blaine furrowed his eyebrows.“Then why the long pause?”

Killian looked over to him and sighed. “Rejection.”

Blaine made an unpleasant face. “You don’t take that well at all.”

“I know I don’t, and if she rejects me, I don’t want to handcuff her to my bed and restrict her from leaving..”

In deep contemplation, Blaine shrugged slowly. “…You can still do it even if she does love you back.”

Killian closed his eyes in irritation, and before he could say something else, there was a small knock at the door.

“Come in..” He said, and he watched as the door opened and a small hand pushed it. He watched Delilah’s face pop in, and his face softened as he saw her. She walked over to him, and he picked her up, ignoring Blaine’s jealous stare.

Sitting her on his hip, she laid her head on his shoulder. “Hi, Daddy,” She whispered, but it was loud enough for Blaine to hear. Killian gave him the side eye, watching as his jaw had dropped and his eyes had widened dramatically. Turning back to Delilah, he stroked her hair, which was a curly mess that fell down her back.

“Hello, sweetheart. Is everything alright?”

“..Bribri is downstairs with Madam A cooking. She wanted me to see if you were in your office.”

“Well, you can go tell her Uncle Blaine and I are right here. And you remember what we talked about the other day, right?” He asked, referring to her wanting to call Brielle’ Mommy.’ She nodded her head, and he let her down.

Blaine ‘ignored’ the two of them as he was making his jealousy known. Oblivious to his childish demeanor, Delilah walked over to him and raised her arms. He picked her up on his hip and continued to ignore her playfully. She grabbed his cheeks and placed a kiss on his forehead before hopping off his lap and heading for the door.

She left the room, and Blaine sighed, looking at Killian as he smirked. “You’re not the only one who gets love around here.” He chuckled as Killian rolled his eyes and said nothing in response.

“Does Brielle know she calls you dad?” Blaine questioned, and Killian shook his head.

“Until she has the courage to tell Brielle how she feels, I won’t say a word.” Blaine nodded, and they moved the conversation over to their enterprises and upcoming plans.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Brielle was washing some excess dishes in the sink to make more room while Madam A was busy fixing the turkey to go into the oven.

“So, Brielle, give me a progress report.” Brielle looked over her shoulder, confused at the older woman’s words, and Madam A rolled her eyes. “How are things with you and Killian?”

Brielle returned to the dishes, and a blush crept up her face and reached the tip of her ears. “Things are.. fine.”

“Just fine? Well, I would think you being in love with him would-” Brielle turned her head and glared at her just as Benjamin decided to walk in from the foyer. He looked from Brielle to Madam A and then back to Brielle as they moved their eyes over to him in fear that he heard.

Benjamin shrugged. “I can say I heard nothing to make you feel better about the embarrassment.. although you can’t exactly hide things from me as I already know beforehand.”

Brielle whined in embarrassment as she stomped her foot and returned to the dishes, annoyed at the situation. Benjamin and Madam A watched the fully grown woman turn into an adorable child as she mumbled about how all her secrets were out for the world to know.

She continued to scrub the pans furiously, and Madam A giggled softly as Brielle heard footsteps enter the room. She was about to turn and ask what was so funny, but she jumped and dropped the pan as she felt two arms go around her waist.

She immediately knew who it was. “K-Kil-Ki,” She stuttered, and he shushed her as he whispered in her ear.

“Good morning, Brielle.”
