“Eugene, what’s wrong? I thought we talked about not keeping secrets?”

He gave me a sad smile. “I’ll tell you soon… but for now.. just give me some time, please.” Before I could say anything more, he walked over to the elevator, and I turned back when I heard the doors close.

“Why does he have to hide so much? If I knew what he was going through, I could at least help him…” I whispered, resting my elbows on the counter, and Blaine responded with a shrug. “I honestly just think he’s a little crazy.”

“Blaine, he’s not crazy.”

“Well, I sure think he is. You don’t even want to know most of the things he’s said to me and Killian. Also, why would I believe anything you say? The man beside you is absolutely insane, and you’re in love with him.” I rolled my eyes at him, laughing slightly, and eventually, we finished up and went out to George’s car.

We all sat in the back, and Killian was a bit tense. I placed my hand in his, and he looked over at me before scoffing and looking out the window. I pouted my lip and leaned in closer to him.

“What’s wrong, Killy?” He looked at me for a moment before pulling me over to him by my arm so he could whisper in my ear.

“My problem, love, is that I can’t get the image of you laying sprawled out under me out of my head, and you deprived me of that experience this morning. Now, as I continuously get aroused by you as the day goes on, I’m growing more pissed off. Anger and lust create just the worst emotions I could ever have. But now we’re busy, right? Meaning I can’t just pick you up against the wall and fuck the anger out of me,” He finished, and I tried to seem unbothered by his words and actions, but it was difficult to do so. I bit my lip softly, and he pulled away with lust still in his eyes.

“My God, guys. I’m right here.” Blaine uttered, looking at us in disgust, and Killian pulled away as he hit the side of the door in absolute rage.

“Dammit, Blaine. Must. You. Ruin. Every. Single. Fucking. Thing.” Killian fumed, pausing at every word, and Blaine smiled.

“It’s my specialty, Kiki.” I laughed softly as we continued driving, eventually reaching our destination. George opened the door, and Killian stepped out and held his hand for me to take. Placing my hand in his, I stepped out of the car and walked with him as he led me into the building.

Walking over to the receptionist, he instantly noticed Killian and Blaine before he directed us over to the elevator. We entered and pressed the floor we were going to. The doors closed, and I could slowly feel Killian’s hand making its way from my lower back to my butt. I moved his arm up, and he chuckled as he tried moving it back down.

I looked over at him, irritated, and he had a cocky smirk plastered on his face. “Can you stop? You’re literally acting like a 15-year-old hormonal boy..” I whispered, and he leaned into my ear.

“Well, this hormonal boy has a fetish for-”

“Guys, I’m still in here.” Blaine cut him off, and Killian closed his eyes as he tried to contain his anger. The elevator doors opened, and Blaine sprinted out, almost horrified. Feeling bad for him, I pulled Killian down to my height and glared at him slightly.

“Behave,” I ordered him, changing our roles around for the moment. He bit his lip as he gave me a once-over and shrugged.

“I’ll try.” He winked and slapped my butt, making me jump at the sudden gesture as he walked out like nothing had happened. Trying to hide the blush rising to my face, I followed him to an office, holding a man pacing back and forth on the phone. He looked over at us, and I smiled as I approached him, immediately noticing who it was.

“Harrison Carter, is it really you?” I beamed, and he smiled at me as he ended the call and pulled me in for a small hug.

“It sure is.. It’s been a while, Brielle.” I pulled away, and he looked over to Killian and Blaine.

“Mr. Russel, Mr. Porter.” He acknowledged, and Killian walked over to his desk, which was stacked with papers and files. “Morning Carter.. I assumed you prepared the information I requested this morning.”

Harrison nodded. “I’ve prepared everything in the conference room.”

“And have you looked into Marissa’s alibi?” Killian questioned, and Harrison sighed.

“It’s still classified, but I have a few guys working on it.”

Killian nodded. “Excellent work Harrison.. I might even consider giving you a pay raise… Now, can you escort us to the conference room?” Harrison nodded. “Of course, follow me.” We followed him into the room, and I looked over to Killian.

“How much do you pay Harry?” I asked, and he chuckled. “Enough that he’ll work at my beck and call without questions or concerns.”

We entered the room and took a seat. Harrison placed a laptop in front of me, and I glanced at the screen before looking back at him.

“What’s this?” I asked, and Killian placed his hand on my knee.

“These are some of the responses Marissa and your parents provided the court. This, along with their so-called documentation that proves their innocence, is currently being analyzed in evidence to find any loopholes.” Harrison explained, and I nodded my head as my eyes went back to the screen. I read its entirety, and when I was done, I closed the computer and scoffed softly.

“Are you alright, love?” Killian asked, and I responded.

“Yes…” Clearing my throat, I nodded my head. “Yes, I’m fine… What do we do next?” I asked, and all three men looked at each other before Harrison spoke.
