Eventually, she’d fallen asleep, which wasn’t much of a surprise to him. A few moments later, he heard footsteps in the kitchen, and he looked over his shoulder to see Blaine walking in, enjoying a fresh cup of hot cocoa.

“You guys are so cute..” He smiled, gushing, and Killian couldn’t help but roll his eyes. Blaine took a seat on the couch across from him, and Killian thought for a moment. He was reminded yet again of the blonde woman he’d seen in the hospital visiting Brielle and side-glanced at Blaine. He couldn’t quite pinpoint where he’d met her... but he knew he’d seen her before.

“...Do you remember Maia, Blaine?” He asked and immediately noticed an instant switch in Blaine’s mood as he shrugged.

“Faintly.. we only shared a few words or so..” Killian went to ask another question when his phone vibrated. He looked to see who it was, and his eyebrows furrowed.

“It’s Eugene..” He muttered, answering the call. He put it on speaker so Blaine could hear.

“Eugene. What’s going on? Where have you been?”Killian spoke into the phone, and he could hear Eugene trying to catch his breath.

“Okay, before we get into questioning and details, just remember I didn’t kill them.”Both Killian and Blaine looked at each other in pure shock.

Blaine hesitated before speaking, “Eugene, buddy, this isn’t the ideal conversation starter to give at 11 PM, especially in your circumstances.”

Eugene responded with a heavy sigh.“Right.. well, I kinda need a ride.”

Killian drove around to a back alley, and Blaine let out a scream as the door immediately opened, and Eugene slid inside the backseat of the car. Killian looked at him through the mirror and spoke.

“What the hell is wrong with you, Eugene? What did you do?” Eugene bit his lip.

“I kinda brought my parents and sister to an abandoned warehouse and… may or may not have done a few things…”

Feeling ice-cold water being thrown on her face, Marissa gasped as her eyes shot open, and she started shivering. Looking around, she saw her parents both sitting in a chair, unconscious. She made a move to get over to them, but she felt restraints pulling her.

She glanced down to see her hands tied to the arms of the chairs, and she looked around quickly to see they were in a worn-down building. Hearing a heavy sigh, she glanced over to see Eugene standing as he held a gun in his hand.

“You know… it’s sad, really. I allow you to live multiple times… and what do you do to me in return? Try to kill my little sister. My fucking flesh and blood. The only person in this shitty family that I truly care about… Now, if you haven’t noticed, I’m not exactly happy about the situation. Hell, at least I had the courtesy not to kill you already.. but I soon realized I wouldn’t enjoy it as much.” Marissa jerked in her chair, and a sob raked through her chest as Eugene put the gun up and shot her father in the shoulder. She watched as he lay unresponsive, and Eugene walked over to him.

Placing two fingers on the man’s neck, he shushed her. “No need to cry… he still has a pulse. Faint but… it’s something.”

“…W-why?” He heard her whisper through her crying. He looked over at her for a moment before he chuckled.

“Why? Sweetheart. With all the damage that you three have caused, I think it’s pretty clear. From the moment we were born, shit had already hit the fan, and you three were the reason I had night terrors every time I slept, the reason why I always felt my heart clench whenever I’d be away from Brielle. I knew who my fucking mother was when I was a child. I wasn’t an idiot. You all scared her away, too, which is why I can’t have much sympathy at all.”

She flinched again, and more tears fell down her cheeks as he shot her mother in the leg. He took slow steps over to where she sat, and her sobs were gradually getting louder.

“I thought about bringing you to the brink of death and putting you back together before I did it again, but sadly, I’ve been given limits, and I’m already over my time. So I’ll leave you all with this..” She let out a shriek of pain as a bullet pierced both her shoulders and one of her legs. The sound of the gun rang through the building once again as he shot multiple rounds at her parents.

Tucking the gun in his waist, he leaned down to her face, which had never-ending tears. She was bleeding out slowly and losing consciousness. Eugene grabbed her jaw in his hand and snapped his fingers in her face, making her eyes open slightly.

“Pathetic… I thought you would have put up just a bit of a fight, but I guess I was wrong.. you’re all burnt out. I’ll tell you what… You can be the one who determines if you all live. If you can find a way to get out of this alive, then you were able to put yourself back together successfully. Just remember, if I find you, I will tear you apart again and again until you’re finished. But if you do bleed out and die…” Placing a small kiss on her forehead, he whispered.

“I’ll see you in hell.”

“Eugene, don’t fucking tell me you tortured them?” Blaine questioned, already knowing the answer, and Eugene shrugged.

“Well… torture is a bit of a strong word to use.”

“Oh! I’m sorry. Because they’re not fucking dead means you justbarelyattempted to slaughter them. Why did you- no, scratch that. How the hell did you even manage to get them out of prison?” Killian seethed.

“I went to Calvin.. They were responsible for Brielle almost getting hit.”

Killian scoffed. “And you left them alive? Do you have any idea what those people put me through?”

“God, Killian, now is not the time,” Blaine shook his head, and Killian sighed.

“Okay, fine… Listen, not a single word to Brielle about this, am I understood? At least until we fully know both her and the baby are stable.” Both men agreed, and they made their way back to the estate.
