Killian sat in his office as he listened to Valarie, who was reading the list of preparations for the wedding. He felt hours were going by, but in all reality, it had been less than twenty minutes.

As much as he liked to be the one to plan things, he felt as though many of the things they were going over were unnecessary, which is why he called Brielle and asked her to join the discussion. She was a bit reluctant at first with the four bodyguards that would be escorting her to the building, but nonetheless, she agreed and was already on her way.

“Alright, Killian. We need to go over some more of the decor, schedule the cake tasting, finalize the date, and schedule the fittings and the rehearsals. How fast do you want to get married? Depending on the amount of time you give me, it will reflect how well it all turns out.”

Killian sighed, leaning back in his chair. “Brielle wanted to wait a few months, but when she ‘realized’ that she would have a big baby bump and already wouldn’t fit into her dress, she started crying, and we didn’t agree on anything. So, I’m thinking next month? A lovely spring wedding would be beautiful.” He finished speaking and, all of a sudden, heard an angelic laugh that made him look up and out to the lobby.

There, Brielle stood talking to Anna, who was extremely excited to see her. Brielle wore her hair in a high ponytail, a light yellow sweater with dark blue jeans, and knee-high boots with a heel.

Killian’s mind drifted elsewhere as the jeans she had put on showed all of her curves that were all in the right places. Eventually, he heard a slightly agitated voice, and only then did he notice Valarie was speaking to him and snapping her fingers in his face to gain his attention.

“My apologies.. you were saying?” He muttered as Valerie shook her head.

“Killian, you just fantasized about your wife in the middle of a conversation we were having!” Not even a moment later, Brielle walked into the room, and Killian looked over to her.

“Hello, love..” He said, admiring her. She stopped by his desk and placed a bag down.

“I brought you lunch. I had mine already and.. only a few bites of yours.” She admitted with a slight blush rising to her cheeks, making Killian chuckle.

“No worries, darling.” Hearing a throat clear, they both turned and saw Valarie sitting patiently, waiting for them to finish.

“Hello, Brielle… I feel as though we got off on the wrong foot.”

“Oh?” Brielle questioned, and she could slowly feel Killian bringing her over to him to sit on his lap.

“Yes… I just wanted to let you know that your future husband made me tell you that I was his ex, so you would focus on being ‘jealous of me’ and not be suspicious of what he was planning.” Brielle looked over her shoulder at Killian, who acted as if he didn’t even hear the conversation.

“Why am I not surprised?” She muttered, and shortly after, Valarie went into the details of the wedding. Brielle pulled out Killian’s food and slowly started to feed herself, occasionally giving him a bite or two. Eventually, they went to their scheduled cake tasting, and Killian rolled his eyes as he noticed Blaine already tasted a few of them.

They walked over to Blaine, who, in return, gave a cheeky smile. “Just so you know, red velvet is amazing, lemon is delicious, and chocolate is just divine. I’m thinking about 6 or 7 cakes at the wedding? What do we think?” He asked, and Valerie shook her head.

“I think you just defeated the purpose of us even coming here,” She sighed, and Brielle giggled, making Killian look over to her questioningly.

“Not exactly.. I invited someone else to come along with us..” Killian was about to ask who, but the door opened, revealing Maia, who was smiling. Blaine instantly looked away, and Killian rolled his eyes as he pulled Brielle over by the waist.

“Why are you trying to play matchmaker?” Brielle looked up at Killian with an innocent smile.

“Whatever do you mean, Killian?” She asked, and Killian watched as Maia greeted her and Valarie but was slightly hesitant when going over to Blaine. He’d also noticed the blush that now came to her face.

Leaning over to Brielle’s ear, he whispered. “I think you know exactly what I mean..”

Chapter sixty-four

One Month Later

Killian sat in the dressing room and sighed as he started buttoning his shirt. Staring at himself in the mirror, he knew this was it. Today was the day he would marry the love of his life and dedicate said life to her, his little girl, and their future children.

Six months, Killian… It took you half a year to fall in love, have two children, get married, and get fucking whipped — excellent job.

He thought to himself and flinched when Blaine popped into the mirror with the smile, that had started growing a few weeks ago, still plastered on his face.

“Kiki… I never thought the day would come. Hell, I know you didn’t think so either… you know what? I think we all-” Killian held a hand up, and Blaine went silent.

“Blaine, I just want one minute to myself.” Blaine chuckled, patted Killian’s back, and walked over to Eugene’s buddies, who were also getting ready. Killian took a deep breath and wasn’t able to let it go as the door busted open. Valarie and Eugene, who looked frantic and worried, rushed in.

“Killian, you need to come with us now,” Eugene demanded quickly, and Killian muttered as he turned away from the mirror. “Of course I do. What’s the problem?”He asked before they both responded simultaneously.

“It’s Brielle…”
