“Lucky,” She whispered, and Delilah giggled at her as Ms. Dawn handed her the papers. Delilah walked around the room and placed the paper on the children’s desks.

She reached the back of the class and made a move to place the paper on the last desk in the row when a hand shot out and grabbed her wrist. Delilah looked up in shock, and her heart dropped as she made eye contact with Archer. The look in his eyes, like always, was predatory.

“Archer, we do not grab our classmates. Remember, we keep our hands to ourselves.” Ms. Dawn interjected, and Archer slowly let go of Delilah’s arm.

“… My apologies.. Delilah.” He spoke as her name rolled off of his tongue. She nodded wordlessly and walked over to the rest of the children.

They started following the directions of the worksheet, but Delilah found it hard to focus. She looked over her shoulder again to see that Archer hadn’t taken his eyes off her. Looking back at her paper, she picked up her crayon and got to work, ignoring his stare.

Lunchtime came around after a few hours, and Delilah sat beside Kimiko as they opened their lunch boxes. The lunch area outside in the courtyard was filled with children talking and eating.

“Are you okay, Dee?” Kimiko asked, and Delilah glanced over to her.

“What’s wrong?” Kimi asked her sadly. Delilah looked over to the boy’s table and noticed Archer staring at her intently. Kimiko directed her eyes over to the table.

“I don’t know, Kimi. He won’t leave me alone, andhe scares me sometimes.” Delilah spoke, switching to Japanese in the end to keep her words discreet.

“Do you want to tell Uncle Killy?”Kimiko asked in Japanese as well, and Delilah shook her head.

“Daddy doesn’t like his dad, so I’ll just tell Mommy so he won’t get upset…” Kimiko nodded her head in response, and they both started eating their lunch.

After the day was over, Delilah walked with the other children as their cars came to the front of the building. As the kids met their drivers, the little girl felt someone bump into her shoulder, causing Kimiko to steady her from the impact. They both looked to see a few of the older first-grade boys from their class.

The one that ran into her chuckled. “Didn’t mean to bump into you. You were just so short I didn’t even see you.” A few of them laughed, and Kimiko crossed her arms as she approached them slowly.

“That wasn’t very nice.” Trying to escape the situation as soon as possible, Delilah hooked onto Kimiko’s sleeve so she wouldn’t get much farther.

“Kimi, I think I see Georgey. Let’s go..”

“And what are you going to do?” He asked her, but Delilah already started walking away with Kimi’s hand in hers. They could hear the boys laughing as they walked, but Delilah chose to ignore them and physically pulled Kimi to ignore them as well. George looked at the girls and immediately noticed something was wrong.

From the look on Delilah’s face, he knew her day might not have been the best, and from the look on both of the girl’s faces, he knew something just got them upset. Nonetheless, he opened the back door for the two of them and assisted them into the car.

A Few More Months Later

After getting Delilah ready for school, Brielle went over to the living room to find Blaine sitting with Killian. They both looked over at her, and she stood beside him as she held her hand on her hip.

“What’s on your mind, my love?” Killian asked, noticing the look on her face, and he grabbed Blaine’s arm before he could try to slip away. Reaching into her back pocket, she sighed.

“I don’t know how you did it again, Russel.” The two men furrowed their eyebrows, and once they saw the pregnancy test in her hand, Killian instantly grew a smile on his face. He stood up and pulled Brielle into a hug before he kissed her cheek and whispered into her ear.

“I hope you know you’re not going anywhere anytime soon. You have three of my kids and plenty more where that came from.”

“I learned that I couldn’t get away from you the hard way, Killian.” He chuckled, and Blaine crossed his arms.

“You guys act like having a baby is a big deal.”

Killian looked over his shoulder. “Didn’t you beg Maia for a baby less than a week ago?” Before Blaine could respond, he rolled his eyes as he felt Maia wrap her arms around his neck from behind the couch.

She placed a kiss on his cheekbone. “He sure did, but I think he’s just feeling a little envious of you two.” Blaine scoffed.

“Am not.” Maia giggled.

“Are too.”

Blaine looked over his shoulder to her. “Are you trying to embarrass me here,Sunshine?” He asked her, and she smirked, placing a kiss on his lips. “Aw.. only a little.”

Brielle spoke as Killian held her in his arms. “Get married already,” she said, and it was Blaine’s turn to smile. Maia hid her face in his neck as she blushed.
