My face, however, betrayed me with a blush that wouldn’t fade. After saying my goodbyes to Delilah and Benjamin, I went to the elevator and saw Killian leaning against it. We entered the elevator, and he pressed the first floor.

“And if you were wondering, Delilah will either stay with Benjamin or come with us when we go overseas.” I looked up at him in slight shock.

“She can come with us?”

He shrugged, looking down at me. “I don’t see why not.”

Arriving at the dance studio, Delilah and I hopped out of George’s car and thanked him.

“I’ll be here waiting at seven,” He informed me, and I grinned and waved goodbye. As I turned around, I sighed internally. It’s not like Killian didn’t already let me know George would be my personal driver from now on as well.

Since the movers had come earlier than I had expected, I didn’t have enough time to grab our dance clothes since Killian needed me to return early. So, I was only able to grab something quick to change in.

“BRIBRI’S BACK!!!” I heard a yell as I entered the studio and listened to the gasps of many girls in the dressing room. I heard a stampede of feet and quickly braced myself for the girls who threw themselves at me. I tried to hug them all back as I laughed.

“Ok, ok, I missed you girls too.” I heard Delilah giggle beside me, and all the girls laughed. But we all halted when we listened to the two treacherous bangs ofherstick. We all stood straight, and Madam A walked into the reception area.

“You’ve had your fun, girls. Now, back to the dressing rooms.” She banged her stick again, and all the girls scurried out of the room. I smiled as she made her way over to me. She looked down at Delilah, who was too busy playing with her buttons to notice anything. Madam A tapped Delilah’s shoulder, and once she looked up to see who did it, the color drained from her face, and she ran into the dressing room.

“My darling Brielle, how is everything?” I shrugged as she led me to the room. “It’s been alright, I guess.” She sighed.

“Alright, give me the worst thing he’s done to you so far.”

“I’m moving in with him, and he’s been controlling me.”

She furrowed her eyebrows. “Oh… I thought it would’ve been worse.”

I looked at her, appalled. “What could be worse?”

She shook her head as she pushed me in. “Forget I said anything. Now go get ready.” I nodded wordlessly, and as she was about to say something else, Mr. Burkley walked out of her office. We both looked his way as he stood frozen, looking at us. He closed his eyes tightly as he retreated.

“I was never here,” He whispered, and I smirked as I turned to Madam A, who had a scowl on her face. “Anything you’d like to explain?” She shook her head as she walked away.

“Nope,” I laughed at their behavior and went to get ready. After about three hours, my close coworker,Maia, came in and took over the class for me. I went into the lobby and sat on the chair as I took a few sips of my water. Hearing someone sit next to me, I looked up to see Mr. Burkley.

“Hey, how’s it going?” He asked, leaning back, and I giggled at him.

“It’s going alright.” He nodded.

“So.. How do you feel about this new job of yours?” He questioned, and I shrugged.

“I don’t know. It’s ok, not that too overly demanding or challenging.”

“How do you feel about Killian?” I blushed slightly at the question. “Could you elaborate for me?”

“Like, is he likable? Is he harsh? Is he insane?”I think the last one was pretty spot-on.

Taking another sip of water, I shrugged lightly. “I mean- He’s just Killian Russel.. a ruthless billionaire who does whatever he wants.” He nodded his head.

“Interesting….” He muttered, and I stood up. Walking away from him, I silently entered a room where only Madam A and Delilah were inside for Delilah’s private ballet lesson. She ran over to me and jumped into my arms happily as she spoke.

“I did good today, Bribri!” She beamed happily, and I kissed her cheek and hugged her closer.

“I know you did, baby. I’m so proud of you! Now, go get dressed so we can get going, ok?” I said, and she quickly ran out of the room as Madam A approached me.

“I still want to know what you meant by ‘worse.’” I looked at her, and she smiled as she shook her head.

“Trust me, Brielle.. you don’t want to know.”
