“Hello, Leo, long time no see,” Killian said, giving him a firm handshake, and Leo smiled.

“Always a pleasure to see you, sir. Shall I get your bags for you?” He asked with an accent almost as thick as Benjamin’s, and Killian replied.

“Of course. Take your time.” Leo nodded; however, as he went to move, he froze while making eye contact with me. He looked down at Delilah, then back to my eyes, and gave me a nod as he placed a smile back on his face. Killian put his hand on the small of my back and walked me to the car. As he opened the door for me, I slid in, sitting Delilah in the middle. As I put both her and my own seatbelt on, Killian received a message, and he looked down at his phone. He silently read the message and groaned as he scrolled through it.

“Oh fuck me,” He muttered, irritated, and Delilah gasped in absolute shock as he covered her mouth, turning her head towards him. Killian noticed she heard him, and she looked over to me quickly.

“Killy said a bad word!” She whisper-yelled, and I brushed the hair out of her face before replying, “Killy says a lot of bad words, sweetie.” She gasped again and looked over at him, horrified.

“How many!!” She asked in a panic, and I leaned into her ear but whispered loud enough so he could hear.

“A whole lot.” Her eyes widened, and Killian leaned down to her as he pulled out a hundred-dollar bill from his wallet.

“Hey sweetheart.. let’s forget this ever happened, hmm? I don’t need word getting out to anyone… mainly Benjamin.” She looked at the money with a growing smile and nodded her head. However, I snatched the money from his hand and looked at him, flabbergasted.

“Killian! Are you trying to bribe her into ‘forgetting’ that you just dropped the f-bomb?!” He shrugged.

“What does it look like I’m doing?” My jaw almost fell off. “Killian, she’s four!”

“Almost five,” Delilah said confidently. Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath as I handed him back the money, and he spoke.

“I still don’t see the problem here,” He uttered, adjusting his cufflinks, and Leo entered the car as he’d already finished putting everything in the trunk.

“Killian, you can’t give a four… almost five-year-old $100!” He thought about it for a second before nodding his head in contemplation.

“You’re right.” He muttered, and I sat back in my seat, letting out a sigh. “Thank you for finally understanding.” I looked out the window for a split second as I didn’t even notice that we were already on the road. I heard a few whispers and looked back to see Killian holding up even more money.

“$300 and a trip to Build A Bear? All expenses paid..” He negotiated, and I scoffed.

“Killian!!” Before I could take the money, Delilah stuffed it into her pocket. She leaned over to him and hugged his waist with a huge smile on her face.

“Thank you, Killy! You’re the best!”

“Thank you, sweetheart.” He rubbed her back, and I just pushed the hair out of my face.

“He’s insane,” I thought aloud, and Killian chuckled. Less than half an hour went by, and we reached our destination. As we stepped out, I looked up at the mansion before me. Though impressed, I knew I should never expect less from Killian. It was predictable at this point.

Leo grabbed our bags from the trunk, and Killian shut the car door as Delilah approached me and held my hand. A man walked out of the house with a rather uncanny resemblance to Benjamin. Was I going crazy, or were all his employees related somehow?

He stopped in front of us and spoke. “Hello, sir.”

“Afternoon, Reginald. How have things been?”

“Perfect until I was informed not even 24 hours ago that you would be arriving with guests.” He said and looked over to me and Delilah as he spoke once again. “Though.. I was not informed who the guests would be.”

“Does that really matter?” Killian asked, and Reginald shrugged.

“Of course, it does.. only because it’s you,” Reginald muttered, noticing Killian’s arm around my waist. Ignoring him, Killian slowly pulled me towards him, causing me to blush.

“Reginald, this is Brielle, my personal assistant, and her niece, Delilah. Brielle, this is one of my many butlers, Reginald.” He nodded his head at me.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Brielle.”

“Likewise,” I said, attempting to keep my voice at bay as Killian caressed my waist. He looked down at Delilah, and she smiled.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you as well, Delilah..”

“.. Likewise?” She said slowly and unsurely while Reginald chuckled. Just as Leo left to park the car, he showed us into the house.
