Chapter thirty-six

Brielle

“I’m about to have one,” Mr. Masahiko and his managers quickly grabbed their things and walked out the door. Glancing over to Blaine, who was now rolling up his sleeves, I noticed he looked like he was getting ready to restrain Killian.

Taking one step back, I frantically spoke. “What is he about to have, please?” Blaine inched closer to him gradually, and I noticed Killian tapping his fingers on the desk, slowly starting from his thumb as if it were a countdown.

“A t-a-n-t-r-u-m. And do. Not. Say. The. Word.” Putting the letters together, I furrowed my eyebrows. Tantrum? Before I could even say another word, I jumped back with a small yelp as Killian sent the entire desk flying when he flipped it over.

Blaine ran from behind him and picked me up in bridal position as he rushed to the door. He stepped out and closed it once he set me down on the floor. I looked over to Mr. Masahiko and his employees as they sat in the corner enjoying a cup of tea. Blaine fixed his sleeves, and I looked over at him, shocked.

“Can someone explain what just happened?!” I exclaimed in shock as I glanced over to Killian through the glass to see him throwing everything he could find. Mostly papers, books, and chairs.

“Well, Brielle, if you couldn’t tell, Killian is in the middle of an episode, and we shall not disturb him for another 15 minutes. After that, I’m going in,” Blaine explained, narrowing his eyes toward the end.

“Blaine, this isn’t a war zone!”

“But Killian is a ticking time bomb. He shows no emotion, and that all builds up to this. This anger may be built up for months, maybe even a year. On the contrary, it’s pretty healthy for him. Get all that anger out so he can have space for it to build up tomorrow again, and then we wait until he has another one. I’ve restrained him maybe once or twice, but I wasn’t quick enough today.”

“Blaine! This is serious! He could hurt himself!”

“Oh, sweetheart, he’s fine. Never leaves the scene with a scratch.” I looked at Killian, worried, but then I noticed his office had no sharp objects, glass, or things that could pierce his skin.

“This room is what I call Killian-proofed. He’s safe inside, and I’m… somewhat safe when I go in.” Blaine muttered, slightly anxious, and I looked over to him.

“Why couldn’t I say the word tantrum?”

“When he gets angry like this, the word tantrum becomes a sort of trigger word, and he just sees red before I even get a chance to partially calm him down.” I watched as Killian’s face got angrier, and I took a deep breath.

“Have you ever successfully calmed him down after 15 minutes?”

“Nope. Either he tires himself out after about an hour or two, or his mother comes in and speaks to him. But at times like this, it could take hours before she arrives.”

I stupidly glanced over to the doorknob. “You think I can calm him down?”

“Bribri… please don’t tell me you’re going through your ‘I can change him’ era..” Ignoring his antics, I slowly walked over to the door, halting when I felt him grab my arm.

“Brielle, it’s not good to go in there at the peak of his anger.”

I glanced down at his hand and up to his eyes. “Blaine. Let. Go. Of. My. Arm.” I emphasized, and he quickly pulled his hand off of me.

Going over to the door, I could feel the eyes of everyone in the room on me. I opened the door and closed it behind me once I stepped in and looked over to Killian. He held his head in his hands with his back to me, and I spoke, not even knowing where to start or how to approach this particular situation.

“Killian?” His once rigid posture fell as his body relaxed slightly. I took one step, and he turned around, completely facing me. He focused his eyes on my face and slowly seemed to lose the tension in his shoulders.

As I approached him slowly, I sighed while grabbing his rather red hands and inspected them gradually for any signs of cuts or bruises. He looked down at me for a moment, and I could sense his rage slipping away as I glared at him.

“Why are you putting yourself in danger and trying to hurt yourself?” I asked, almost furious that he was taking it to the extreme like he always did. He simply stared at me, almost in a trance.

“If I didn’t know you any better… I’d say you were crazy.” I whispered, and he placed his hands on the sides of my face as he leaned in closer to me. But I did know him; I knew he was irrational, assertive, and practically insane… and I’d be lying if I said I hated his flaws.

In an instant, he placed his lips against mine, making me practically melt into the kiss. I raised my hands to his wrists and let him take control like always. The kiss became rougher, and he ran his hands down my body and gripped my hips in his hands. The atmosphere changed dramatically, and he pulled away, panting.

“Jump,” He ordered, and I unintentionally looked into his eyes lustfully. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I jumped as I wrapped my legs around his waist. He placed his hands under my thighs and gave me a smile as I could feel my face heating up even more.

“That’s better.” He kissed my lips again and walked us into the bathroom, away from the watchful eyes of everyone through the glass. Once he closed the door, he pushed me up against it and pulled away from my lips, moving down to my neck. Feeling him press his length into my heat, I bit my lip as he placed me on the ground and soon glared down into my eyes.

“You wanted to fucking calm me down, hmm?” He asked, and I gasped as he picked me up and placed me on the bathroom counter. Pushing my skirt up, I barely had time to register his movement. His eyes darkened as I threw my head back when he placed his thumb over my throbbing clit.
