“I have,” she replies, her shoulders losing some of their tension.

“Any big tattoos? Or some really icky ones?” I wink at her when she looks to me.

“I just completed a man’s back piece. He is in the Navy and gets more added when he is home.”

“His whole back?” My mouth drops open when she nods.

“Yep. Each sitting was eight to ten hours. He got a pirate ship, a kraken, and some other water-related details around it.”

“Fuck me. I am being brave having this one.”

“Is this your first tattoo?” She looks at me with wide eyes, while I nod.

“Yeah.”

“ZEB!” She calls out his name, making me jump.

Thank fuck she was not pressing the needle into my skin, or I would have a random line across my chest.

Zeb strolls over to us, a smile on his face.

“What’s up?” He steps closer, watching as she finishes the last star.

“This is her first,” she says to him.

His gaze snaps to mine, and a wicked smile crosses his face.

“Why didn’t I know you were a virgin when you came in?” He cocks an eyebrow.

Damn, this man is freaking hot, with his olive skin, dark eyes, and lips to die for.

“Oh, Zeb, I have not been a virgin for a long time.” I wink.

He laughs, just as Winnie covers my new ink with Ink Beetle derm gel, to protect it while it is healing. I know this because Lennox got a new tattoo not too long ago.

“I walked into that one, didn’t I?” I nod. “No charge for first tattoos.”

“Oh, no, I want to pay. I can pay.” Shaking his head, he holds his hand up.

“Rugged Ink rule.”

“Zeb,” I say in a quiet tone, because I am not sure if it is an actual rule or if it is because it is me and who I am related to.

“All done,” Winnie murmurs.

I slip off the bed, collecting my purse from the chair, determined to dig for my wallet to leave some money.

“Kady, honey.” Zeb steps into my path, placing his hand on mine before I can unzip my purse. “You are not paying. Family does not pay.”

My nose burns, and I have no freaking clue why. The people in this club have been my family since Royal found that drunken marriage certificate from Vegas, when he married my sister.

“Are you sure?” I whisper.

What the hell is wrong with me?

“I am sure. Now go on, fuck off. I have a business to run, ya know,” he says, grinning at me.

“Rude,” I say, matching his grin.
