“He bought us a flat.”

“Wow, charmer.”

“It was supposed to be a bit of fun,” she mutters miserably.

“But you fell in love.”

“I think he did too. He got the flat and said he can’t let me go.”

I laugh, rolling my eyes. “Raven, listen to yourself. That’s not love. If he loved you, he’d never give you up. He’d do whatever he could to keep you. Marrying Sofia wouldn’t be on his to-do list. He wants to have his cake and eat it. Do you seriously want to spend the rest of your life answering to him when he has a wife? Eventually, he’ll have a kid, and then you’ll always be second best. Don’t you want kids and marriage?”

She bites on her lower lip. “Maybe I could live like that. It’s what I’m doing right now.”

“And look how miserable it’s making you. Look, you don’t know me, so maybe that makes it easier for me to say this, but he’s a dick and he’s laughing with his pretty wife on one arm and his dirty little secret on the other. Dump his arse. You can do better.”

“Did Ruby cheat on you?” she asks.

I drain my drink, standing. “Let’s get back.”
