“Stop,” I hiss. He’s trying to rile Mac, but it isn’t working.

“We’ll talk about it tomorrow,” he says, winking.

“What the fuck are you whispering about?” snaps Mac.

“She was saying how horny she is. Are you not taking care of her needs, biker boy?”

“That’s not what I said,” I say to Mac. “Vinn!” I add with a tone of warning.

He kisses me on the head. “Go home, Corvo. Get your toys out. I’ll picture it in my head.”

“What the fuck did you just say?” growls Mac.

“You never showed him all your toys, Corvo? I feel honoured.”

I shake my head as I leave. “Toys?” Mac questions the second we step outside.

“He’s just trying to get a reaction from you.”

“Is that the sort of shit you did together?”

“You’re making me feel embarrassed,” I mutter.

He hands me my helmet. “You need to buy new toys,” he grumbles as we get on the bike. “Ones he hasn’t touched.”

When we get back, I head towards the stairs, but Mac takes my hand and pulls me in the direction of the kitchen. I’m not hungry, but he makes me sit at the table anyway and grabs some leftovers from the fridge. “I bet you hardly ate today,” he says, placing it on the table. I take a piece of chicken and nibble it slowly.

“I wasn’t hungry.”

“You’re upset,” he says.

I sigh heavily and drop the chicken back on the plate. “Are we really gonna pretend last night didn’t happen?”

“No. Why did you do it?”

I regret asking the question. “I don’t know.”

He places a finger under my chin and forces me to look him in the eye. “You do know. Why did you do it, Raven?”

“I thought it’s what you wanted.”

“Did you want it?”

I blush and try to look away, but he holds me in place. “Yes.”

“Or did you do what you thought you needed to? Did you think it’s what I expected you to do?”

I shrug. “Maybe.”

“Fuck, Raven. I don’t want anything from you. I’m not hanging out with you because I expect something. You don’t owe me.”

I nod. “Okay.”

“I’m not like the other men from your past. I just wanna take care of you. Please don’t do shit like that because you think you owe me.”

“Okay,” I repeat.

We eat in silence. Once we’re finished, he takes me by the hand and leads me up to my room. “Go shower,” he mutters. I spend longer in the shower than usual, avoiding him because I feel stupid. Yeah, maybe I thought he’d want me to do what I did, but I also wanted to do it. I like him. Maybe more than he likes me, but I do. And I promised myself I’d take this slow and see what happens naturally. But when he’s holding me like that and prodding me with his erection, it’s natural to want to explore it.
