Mac looks ready to cry.
He takes the first drink.
We all follow suit.
The drink burns.
“Okay, I’m going to cut through the obvious here,” Violet says. “Abby, you have some hardware attached to your chest now?”
Vera snorts and turns her head away.
I mean… with how tight Abby’s shirt is…
“Yeah,” Abby says. “Got my left nipple pierced. Want to see?”

“Is it wrong to want to see?” Villi asks.
Vera elbows him in the stomach.
“What about you?” Abby asks Jax. “Want to see? You’re single, right?”
“Yeah, Jax, you’re single, aren’t you?” Mac calls out.
I’ve never seen Jax make the face he does.
He’s caught… he looks ready to blush.
“Jax,” I say. “What do you think? Want to see her boobs? Maybe play with them a little?”
“Nothing little about these,” Abby says as she cups her chest.
“I’ll pass,” Jax says.
“What?” Gabriel calls out. “Are you kidding me?”
Without a word, Jax puts an arm around me and pulls me close.
There’s an eruption of cheers for us.
I feel my cheeks turn bright red.
