“Willow! I need you! It’s Ward!”

“Ward? What’s going on with Ward?”

“He locked me out of my dorm. I think he’s drinking.”

“What? Wait… he’s in rehab…”

“He left. Today. Earlier. He showed up to my dorm. Then Jax showed up. Everything’s a fucking mess right now, Willow. And now Ward locked me out of my dorm and he’s looking for something to drink.”

“Do you have anything in your dorm?”

“Probably. Who doesn’t?”

“How the hell did he leave rehab?” Willow yells.

“He just walked out…”

“Fuck,” Willow growls. “I’ll be there as soon as I can, I guess. I’m not on campus right now. Let me think… I…”

Inside my dorm I hear more glass shatter.

I gasp.

“Mila? What is it?”

“He’s breaking stuff in the dorm,” I say. “I’m not worried about that part. I just need to get in there. I need to talk to him. He needs help. Serious help.”

“He had help,” Willow says. “He was in rehab! Why would he leave?”

I turn and let my back hit the door.

I put my head back and look up.

“Mila?” Willow asks.

“Willow… your brother has issues, okay? A lot of issues. Drinking is probably just the start. Please just get here. Call someone. I don’t know what else to do. He’s going to end up-”

The door opens and I stumble back.

Ward puts his hand around my neck and he exhales a breath on purpose.

He stinks like booze and he pulls me into my dorm and slams the door shut.

MILA

I spin around and Ward pushes me toward the couch.

“We need to talk, Mila,” he says.

I quickly turn.

My hands are made into fists and I’m ready to fight.

“This is not how to handle things,” I say.

“Yes, it is,” he says.
