I take his hands in mine, trying to steady my shaking breaths and wipe away my tears. “Thank you. This means so much to me.”

He pulls me close and wraps his arms around me, “I’m sorry. I didn’t want to make you cry. You hold a special place in my heart, like a daughter. You know how much I love you, right?” I nod. “And I’m more than happy you decided to give my son a second chance. Now, I’ll let you finish getting ready. There’s someone outside who seems to be losing patience and is threatening to come in and forcefully ‘remove his wife from this room’ because he thinks it is taking too long.” His eyes twinkle mischievously as he smiles. “I’ll see you later, girls.” Before leaving, he plants a gentle kiss on the top of my head.

As I turn towards the girls, I hear their sniffles and see them wiping tears away with tissues.

“Fine, you can name your first-born Aisla. I won’t object to it.” Bailey’s humorous comment lightens the mood and brings laughter to the group.

“Let’s get you fixed up before Mister Caveman shows up here.”

Epilogue Two

Aidan

I don’t know how Emilie and Bailey did it, but they exceeded all my expectations.

My father’s garden is stunning. Ms Smith helped with the floral decorations since she refused to allow anyone to touch her garden, and she did a fantastic job.

The air is filled with the sweet scent of roses, peonies, and lavender from the meticulously arranged bouquets that line the aisles.

I’m not a flower type of guy, but the garden itself seems to have conspired to create a breathtaking backdrop, with flower beds in shades of pink, purple, and white. Despite Blakely’s aversion to red roses, Ms Smith managed to create a beautiful arrangement.

As I scan the area, my gaze falls upon Scott and Tim making their way towards me, not knowing what to do with their hands with no pockets in their kilts.

“How are you doing, big guy?” asks Scott, patting my back.

“Nervous?” Tim questions.

“Surprisingly. No.”

“You don’t think my sister would run away?” A smile plays at the corner of Scott’s mouth as he asks.

“If she does, I’ll find her and drag her back.”

“You’re a psycho, you know that?” A chuckle escapes Tim’s throat.

I shrug. What can I say? I know who I am. She is stuck with me until hell takes us, and even there, I’ll find her.

I turn my head to watch as our families settle into their seats. Her team, along with mine, are here. Isla, Skye, and Eilidh give me a thumbs up, while Cailean’s glare says that if I fuck things up, he’ll have my balls.

No worries, buddy. I’ll gladly give them to you if something were to happen to her.

My da’ joins us and embraces me tightly, which is unusual for him.

“I’m proud of you, son. And I know Aisla would be as well.” My emotions grip me tightly, like a hand around my throat. I don’t voice it, but I know she is here today. I miss her every day, but I’ll do my best to keep her memory alive.

“I know.” He claps my back before sitting down next to my maw, who is already in tears.

“May I kindly ask all the ladies and gentlemen present here to take a seat as the ceremony is about to commence,” the officiant says.

The start of the music causes my heart to race with anticipation. I cannot wait for her to walk down this aisle so we can get the fuck out of here.

I love my family, but I need to be buried deep inside her.

I hold my breath as Blakely walks down the aisle with her father, my heart pounding in my chest.

Fucking hell, she is… I’m lost for words. Saying gorgeous would be an offence to the beauty that’s walking towards me. Her dress is just wow. Perfectly hugging the curves I love so much. When she looks at me with a big smile, I notice her eyes are already welling up with tears.

As her father comes to a stop in front of me, he gives her a loving kiss on the cheek and greets me with a strong handshake.
