“I love you too.” He takes my hand and leads me to the backyard.

“Mom, Dad, it’s that time,” Sawyer says, pressing a hand to my belly. “We’re heading out. Stay here, and we’ll keep you updated.”

We already had everything packed in the vehicle for the past week just in case, but I feel like I’m missing something. I need to see my little ones before we leave.

I give them each a quick kiss. “Christina, be a good girl for Grandma and Grandpa.”

“Always, Mama.”

“And help take care of your brothers,” Sawyer says.

“What do I get out of it, Daddy?”

“To watch television tonight.”

“Okay.” She jumps up and down. “Damn deal maker, that one,” he grumbles.

“Natural born hustler,” my father says.

“She takes after her daddy,” I say, giving her another hug. Sawyer pulls me away as another pain kicks in. I have to remember that the babies aren’t going to wait for me.

And they don’t.

My little angels were born within two hours of our arrival at the hospital. Two more sons. They’re perfectly handsome and healthy, with a wonderful set of well-developed lungs each. “I think we’re done after this.”

“We’ll see.” He winks.

I remind him that he could certainly afford a horde of children. “You are a billionaire.”

“We’re billionaires, Jilly Bean. We’re in this together, forever.”

“Forever.”

THE END
