“That won’t make your parents happy,” I said, wishing I hadn’t. Sebastian’s facial muscles stiffened for one moment at the mention of his parents.

He shook his head dismissively. “They can accept it or lose another child. Besides, Eryn’s independent. All they can do is emotionally guilt her, but she’s stronger than me. Believe me.” Sebastian would never fully believe how strong he really was, I knew that, but it was true that Eryn was the strong one. All her life, she worked her way up quietly, despite what anyone said or thought.

We faced one another as if panic had driven us to stand up, tense and unsure of what to do. When the surprise wore off, I leaped and hugged him tightly. This was such a relief. For the past two months, Eryn had been on our minds. There was nothing we could do but hold our breaths and wait. But she was brilliant.

“I never doubted her,” I said, my voice muffled as I buried my face in the crook of Sebastian’s neck.

It felt like we could finally take a deep breath of air, both of us. Eryn would make her steady progress and break free of the toxicity of their home, just like Sebastian had. Severing bonds was never easy, but those were not the kind of bonds anyone wanted. They had been tying him down, clutching him, pulling him deep into depression and self-doubt. And he was brilliant, too. He was wonderful and incredible. And at long last, he was beginning to believe it.

After this year’s Frozen Four, helping secure our second victory in a row, both of us earned representation from Emmanuel Torrez, who had been taking hockey players to the heights of the NHL in recent years. If I had to put these weeks into a single word, the word would definitely be hope. We had hope for better days to come.

The sunlight was waning outside our windows. The room had changed since our return from spring break. We’d put our beds together and pushed our desks to one side, creating couples’ sleeping quarters. Tonight, though, would be our last night sleeping here.

A small, intimate party was starting in a few hours in the basement, with all our teammates joining and a few people from the outside. Avery was bringing Gray, who, in turn, was bringing his friend, Cole. Sawyer and Noah moved everywhere as the inseparable couple they were.

In the morning, Sebastian and I would leave our keys on the kitchen island and head out to conquer the world on our own, watching each other’s backs. It was a big, scary leap, but taking the step with Sebastian filled me with confidence.

Which was a good thing because I wanted to make another leap with him tonight before leaving college behind. For so many months, I had been flirting with the idea, watching him melt with joy at it and wanting to try it.

“When do you think we should be downstairs?” Sebastian asked after texting back to Eryn.

I shrugged with one shoulder. “Not soon, I think.”

Sebastian tossed his phone on the desk and looked into my eyes. “Good.” His voice was soft and seductive. He was getting the same idea. “I’m not in a hurry.”

“Good,” I repeated after him, matching the silky smoothness of his voice. “Because I’ve got something I want to do.”

“Mysterious,” Sebastian purred.

As we pulled one another close and looked into each other’s eyes, he could almost read my mind. Not quite, though.

“One last time in this house,” I suggested with a cheeky tone entering my voice.

Sebastian’s pupils dilated and he pulled me in closer. As my hands traveled down his back and reached his ass, he bit his lip. “Give me twenty minutes. And wait for me naked.” The thrill and excitement in his voice were unmistakable. I loved how easy he was to seduce. Then again, I was just as easy. He could wink at me and my dick would stir.

“Actually, you don’t need twenty minutes,” I said, flutters filling my stomach as much as the first time I’d kissed him or any other first we’d had. “All you have to do is—” I pushed him and his eyes widened as he fell back on the bed. “—stay like that. We’re trying something new.”

Sebastian’s ears perked and he watched me from the bed, the curious expression making him as sexy as ever. “Ty?”

I grinned because I couldn’t contain it any longer. “You’re so hot, Sebastian,” I said. The edge of his T-shirt pulled up and revealed a couple of inches of his abs. It made my mouth water.

Slowly, I moved toward the bed, then descended to my knees. My dick was beginning to grow and stiffen, but I wore a hockey jockstrap that trapped me to an almost painful degree. The sweatpants I wore concealed the jockstrap, unlike Sebastian’s, which formed a mound on his crotch that filled me with excitement.

“Are you sure you want to do this?” he whispered.

“My love, I’ve never been so sure about anything,” I whispered, dragging my hands up his thighs. When I reached his waistband, I tugged it gently down, teasing his hard dick with the tension. I was still looking at him as I leaned over his body and brought my lips to his bulge.

For months, we had stayed in the roles we were happy with, but I had always wanted to switch things up. And Sebastian had always wanted it, too. We kept leaving it for later and later, my fears and my wants mixing and battling every time. Not anymore.

As I pulled his sweatpants and his underwear over his dick, my heart leaped. I was so ready for it.

I dragged his clothes down his legs and left them tangled around his ankles. Sebastian lifted his torso for long enough to pull his T-shirt off and I threw mine over my shoulders. I kept my sweatpants on, though, and my dick throbbed painfully against the plastic cup, pushing into it but losing the battle. It thrilled me in all the crazy ways.

Sebastian grabbed me under my arms and pulled me up to join him in bed. As I did, we collided and rolled until I lay on my back, and he was on top of me. Searching for him with my hand, I found his big cock and wrapped my fingers tightly around it.

I stroked him slowly while he kissed me. Minutes passed, and his kisses only grew hotter. And when I couldn’t wait any longer, I whispered against his lips, “I want you in my mouth.”

Sebastian didn’t hesitate. We’d fooled around with our mouths in all sorts of ways. With him, everything seemed so natural and easy. Everything was possible. There were no taboos when the lights were off and the door was locked.
