Her smile turned mischievous. “Good. It would be awkward if you didn’t, since you’re all boning my sister.” Brielle elbowed her, and Blythe laughed. “What? I’m just laying it all out there. I mean, if we’re going to be family, we may as well start on an honest note.”

Valor held his hand toward Blythe. “Honest is good.”

She gave it a firm shake. “Glad we’re on the same page. Follow me.”

She turned on her heel and headed down a corridor with Valor at her side. The rest of us trailed behind them.

“Oh, ignore Andy.” Blythe jutted her chin at the blonde woman. “She’s naturally growly, but it’s because she cares.”

“Way to throw me under the bus, kid. How will I ever keep my reputation with you around?” Andy rolled her eyes, but the softness in her voice told us how familiar they were with one another.

Our tension began to ebb, replaced by an unexpected tenderness.

Andy guided us through a series of winding corridors, each turn taking us deeper into the heart of their operation. There were several cavernous rooms filled with lounging shifters. This wasn’t some haphazard hideout but a sturdy refuge—a home.

Andy led us to an office, and I exchanged glances with Ezra and Valor as she sat on the couch.

We sat in the chairs across from her, and Blythe plopped down in the middle of the room.

Andy looked at Brielle. “Your mates, huh?”

Brielle blushed. “You wouldn’t have told me anything if I was truthful with you. I did what I had to do.”

The corner of Andy’s mouth twitched before her gaze returned to us.

She didn’t waste time getting to the point. “What will you do now that you know about us?”

“Nothing,” Ezra said. “We’ll keep your secret if that’s what you wish. We came here for our mate.”

“And Blythe,” Andy added. “Will you whisk her away to your pack? Won’t your Alpha have questions?”

“He will,” I said, not seeing a reason to lie. “But Alpha Wynn is not in the business of forcing Omegas into his pack. We can discuss it if Blythe wants to come with us, but otherwise, this is about our mate and her sister and their happiness.”

Andy looked at Blythe. “So, is this it, kid?”

“This is it,” Blythe said. “I’ve been away from my sister for too long. I love you, Andy, and I’ll always be grateful to you and the others, but I need Brielle.”

Andy swallowed hard. “Just promise to visit when you have time.”

“I promise.”

Andy flipped her hair over her shoulder and turned back to us. “What about the Council? How will you explain an unidentified Omega on your lands?”

Ezra growled, “There won’t be any explanations.”

Andy’s lip curled. “So, one of the sanctioned packs finally wised up. Good to know.”

The hair on the back of my neck stood on end. Whatever Andy had to say wouldn’t be good.

“I take it you’re aware of the Council’s… extracurricular activities?” Ezra asked.

Andy’s expression was bland, but her eyes were steely. “We are.”

I thought back to the red-headed half-witch. “Ray . . .”

“Councilman Raza’s daughter.” Andy’s lips pulled tight. “Well, one of them, at least. Not that he thinks of them as anything but tools.”

“How?” I glanced at the redhead, trying to see Raza in her features. “The councilman is crossbreeding?”
