“Jade might not be as happy for us if we damage her car.”
“Oh no, Ethan: she is over the moon right now. She won’t care about a dent that’s easily fixed.”
I nodded and then sighed as I leaned down to press my face into his neck, inhaling deeply and letting his scent settle into me.
“How long does it usually take for a knot to go down? I don’t mind carrying you but I’m not sure we’d make it all the way to the nest or even my room without hurting you if it’s going to be a long time.”

“Will you stay with me tonight?”
His eyes crinkled at the corners and I smiled back.
“You don’t have to stay in the nest if you don’t want to?—”
Silencing me with another kiss, his hand cupped my jaw and his purr had me melting against his chest.
