Soaking in the steaming cup of coffee firmly in front of my face, I nodded.

“Okay. I’m going to jump in the shower.” Ella walked away with her mug of deliciousness.

“Yeah, a coffee-making roommate is a must,” I muttered as I took a deep sip of the fantastic coffee Abel had imported. He was appalled at the cheap coffee I had and chucked it.

Ella and I were dressed and ready to go within half an hour. Sunday mornings were terrific for the quick and easy.

“Where did you get the coffee? It’s delicious?”

“Oh, Abel had it imported. He saw my cheap brand and instantly got offended. He also said, ‘With my obsession with the elixir from the gods, like hell his baby would be drinking swill.’” I chuckled, shaking my head.

Ella gave me a tight smile.

Annoyed, I started to broach what had made Ella so different from when we first met when a loud voice boomed, “Hey, look out.”

We barely got a chance to glance over our shoulders at the gray sedan jumping the curb and heading directly for us. The older model car had extremely dark tinted windows to the point where you couldn’t see the driver. Ella and I jumped in different directions, crashing to the ground just clear of the front bumper. Grass and dirt sprayed us as it sped off, bouncing back onto the road. It had no license plates. Compared to the high-end luxury and sports vehicles everyone drove here, it was a definite eye sore.

“Oh, my word, Chan, are you okay?” Ella squeaked.

Dazed and sore, I looked myself over and trailed my hands down my body. “Yeah, I’m good. Are you okay?”

“Yeah.” People ran toward us to check on us. Several wanted us to call the cops or campus security, but what was there to tell them? The car wasn’t likely to be seen here again. It stood out too much. To think a late model Honda stood out. My life turned out far different than I expected it to be.

Standing, I helped Ella, and assessed myself again, growing more upset. I wore one of the new outfits Abel bought, and for once, without help from Kailey and Ella, I thought I looked cute and pretty in the clothes we got. I had a lot of casual wear. Abel let me pick them out and this was one of those outfits. I skimmed my hand along my jeans finding tears and rips from falling and skidding my knee on the pavement before I rolled onto the grass. Green stains layered my thighs, and I could only assume what my ass looked like.

In the center of the huddle of people, I tried not to get too upset, but I already hated being indebted to anybody, even Abel. Now my clothes were ruined, and I’d just gotten them.

“Guys, really, I’m fine. Ella, you’re still good?”

“Yeah, I’m good.” She frowned at my knees as blood dripped through the hole torn in my jeans. “Let’s get you back to the dorm and patch you up.” Ella landed on the grass and only got a couple of green stains. Nothing had torn or appeared to be bleeding. Relief flooded me. I’d hate it if she sustained any injury.

“Yeah. Good idea.” I limped a little, and Ella questioned me again, but it wasn’t bad, more stiff than anything. We continued to walk, and my gait normalized.

It didn’t take us long to change clothes and for my knee to get bandaged up. If this continued, I’d become a pieced-together mummy. I hoped I didn’t gain any more new bandages.

Kailey blasted both of our phones, wondering where we were. Before we’d left, we’d messaged our group chat and asked if she wanted to join us.

Replying we’d be there shortly, we booked it downstairs, and Ella didn’t hesitate to get a golf cart taxi this time. Typically, I preferred to walk, but this caused a special situation.

Kailey sat at our usual table, and none of us looked at the menu as we already knew what we wanted.

Before we discussed anything, Abel wrapped his arms around my neck, kissed me on the cheek, and sat beside me. Whispering in my ear, he said, “I hated not waking up to you this morning. I envisioned waking up to you sucking my cock and giving me a blow job out of this world. I jerked off so hard.”

I choked on my spit and instantly grabbed my water to settle my nerves as my pussy clenched and my face inflamed. Abel smirked and stroked his hand on my thigh, moving far too close to indecent territory.

Kailey smirked as she eyed Abel and me. I avoided looking at Ella.

The waitress rushed over once she spotted Abel there and took his order. I wanted to laugh at how he ordered the same thing I did.

“Did everything go okay last night?” I asked, curious as to why he left.

“Yeah, all good.”

Kailey and Ella began a conversation, and Abel wasn’t too involved in talking. He looked at his phone several times, which was odd because every time we sat to eat, he always put his phone away and paid attention, even when we ate with his frat brothers or my friends. However, today, he texted, and it kept pinging with notifications.

“Why were you two late this morning? Normally, I’m the fashionably late diva around here,” Kailey asked.

“Oh, it was crazy. We were walking here, and this car jumped the curb and almost hit Chan and me. If somebody hadn’t yelled out for us to watch out, we’d be pancakes right now.”
