I can do this.

Just as Leilani was finding her stride, she saw two women dancing, one of them gyrating against the other’s leg. Her dress was tugged down, exposing her nipple, and her girlfriend was rubbing it between her finger and thumb.

Holy hell.

No one blinked at it.

Leilani did.

Jacob handed her another drink and grinned at her.

“You doing okay there, princess?

“Hmm mm,” she replied, sipping the drink. Once, twice, then a third time.

Because the thing was, after his kiss and witnessing all the subtle but clearly sexual things going on around her, she was feeling things.

Things she shouldn’t.

Not in public.

Oh my God, I’m aroused.

“This floor is called The Deck.” Jacob explained, waving out to someone across the room. “We can watch the party below or hit the dance floor. Your choice.”

“I’m fine here.” Leilani sipped her drink again, feeling grateful for the earlier shot. “Did you create this place?”

“No, I purchased shares. I’m a majority shareholder now.” Jacob replied, then smiled as a well-built blond man joined them.

“Good evening. Who do we have here?” he said, shaking Jacob’s hand, then grinned down at her with the same intoxicating confidence Jacob had.

A blush spiraled through her body, and she immediately felt guilty for being so attracted to him.

“Carter, this is Leilani.” Jacob said. “Please join us.”

“Leilani, what are you doing here with this rascal? You’re far too beautiful.” Carter winked. “Let me guess, you’re doing him a favor. Or did he pay you?”

Her mouth fell open. “No. Not. I’m not a... prostitute.”

Carter roared with laughter as Jacob chuckled.

“He doesn’t mean that.”

“It was a compliment, sweetheart.” Carter said, lifting his hand and nodding at the person behind the bar, who promptly handed him a whisky.

Another man with a level of personal power she’d never be able to replicate. Was it money that gave these people the ability to know they could have anything and anyone they wanted?

Leilani had no doubt, Carter could choose any woman in this bar for the night. His crystal blue eyes had sure cut right through her barriers.

Jacob didn’t seem to mind. In fact, he seemed amused by her physical reaction to him.

“Oh, well, thanks.” Leilani shrugged, still feeling stupid.

“Let’s sit down,” Jacob said, leading them over to a curved plush sofa that had a front-and-center view down to the bar below and was slightly private from the rest of The Deck because of the angle.

“So, first time up here?” Carter asked over the music from her left-hand side as she settled in between him and Jacob.

The two men pressed in close to her and Jacob draped an arm over her shoulder and began playing with her hair.
