“I’m sure Tavy and I can help you out,” I said with a smile.

“Logan, your drinks are ready,” the barista called.

“Drinks?” Willa asked. “As in plural?”

“You double fisting the caffeine?” Mia teased.

“Um. Yeah, double fisting.”

“Sounds kinky,” Sutton joked.

“Oh.” Willa blinked, her stare zoning in over my shoulder.

With a sigh, I turned even though I knew exactly who I was going to see.

Smoke.

He saw me and smiled and then his gaze landed on the three Old Ladies.

“And the plot thickens,” Sutton said.

Smoke ambled over to us as we froze in awkward silence.

And without a word, he wrapped his arm around me and rested his hand on my hip.

Mia lifted her mug to her lips, but it didn’t hide her smile.

Sutton doodled a little heart on her pad of paper and Willa just continued to stare.

“I’ve got to go,” Smoke said to me, pressing a kiss to my forehead. “I’ll call you later.”

I nodded.

He released me and addressed the trio. “Ladies. Always a pleasure.”

The doorbell jangled as he passed through the exit, and Smoke was gone.

“So,” Mia said.

I sighed. “Yeah…”

“Get your coffees, pull up a chair, and give us the dirt,” Sutton said.

“Do I have to?” I asked.

“Yep,” Willa said.

“You guys don’t seem that surprised,” I said.

“Oh, we’re not,” Mia said. “We already knew you guys were going to get together.”

“Wait, we who?” I demanded.

“Me,” Mia said. She pointed to Willa and Sutton. “Them. The rest of the Old Ladies. Pretty much everyone, actually.”

“And the club,” Sutton added. “Viper and I have already talked about you guys in great detail.”

“Yeah, okay, I definitely need those coffees.” I walked back to the counter, grabbed the drinks and pastries and brought them over to the table.
