“Blaire, I…” Jaden begins. “I don’t…” His breathing is shallow. He bends at the waist and his hands are on his knees as he looks at me.
“…know how not to want you.” He stands upright again, straightening his spine and dragging his hands over his short hair. His hand rubs along his scruffy jaw.
“Fuck, kitten… You drive me crazy.”
I scan the parking lot again, then reach for his hand.
“You drive me crazy too, J. It takes all I have to control myself in class.”
He tugs me to him again. Leaning down, he kisses me deeply, until we hear Rae call out loudly, “Okay. I found my phone.”
I know Rae didn’t lose her phone. She gave Jaden and me some time alone, and I appreciate her for that. I’ll be sure to do something special for her to repay her.
I pat Jaden’s chest, then kiss him one last time. He opens the car door for me, and I slide in. I look up and say, “See you in class on Monday.”
He nods, then steps back as I turn the car on and back out of the parking lot.
Rae nudges my shoulder as I drive us to her place.
“So, how was he?”
I stay focused on the road and say, “Hmm. Delicious.”

Inever thought I’d make it to winter break, but here I am lying in bed in the secluded rental house I found in Palm Shores with the love of my life.
Blaire has Britney beginning Monday for the entire winter break, so we took this opportunity to be together. I want to talk with her about my plans.
She wiggles in my arms, and I lean down. Kissing her cheek, I tilt her chin up and kiss her soft lips.
“Good morning, kitten.” I kiss her again.
“Mmm, J. Good morning.” She snuggles closer.
“Blaire?” I caress her shoulders.
“Yes?” She lies on her stomach and turns her head to look at me.
“You know I have a plan when I graduate…” I pause and hold my breath.
She sits up and leans back on the headboard, tugging the sheet over her naked body.
“Mmm, hmm.” Her brow knits.
“You’re moving.” Her lips scrunch and she looks past me.
“Yeah. Will you think about moving with me? You know you can teach in New York.”
She sighs and shakes her head.
“Jaden, I can’t leave Florida. Preston will never agree to me taking Britney all the way to New York City.” Her eyes close as she whispers, “I’m sorry. Let’s enjoy what we have right now, baby.”
I push back, “It’s still several months, Blaire. Please don’t say no so fast. Things can change.”
She huffs out a breath and drags her hand through her messy hair.
