"What? No, of course not. Unless you want to leave."

He shakes his head. "No." He shoves his free hand in his pocket like he doesn’t know what to do with it. "I want to be here for you. For everything."

That gives me pause. I lean in and kiss him softly. "I love you."

"I love you too."

The note from Nathan is very Nathan-like. Short and to the point.

I can’t wait to call you my wife. I love you.

I clasp the card to my chest. God, I love Nathan so much. From the minute I met him, he has swept me away in a storm of passion, devotion, and love. Sometimes it’s overwhelming, but in the very best way.

There’s an elegant diamond bracelet in the box. I gasp at how beautiful it is. It’s more Nathan’s style than mine, but I know he shows love with extravagant gifts. This whole wedding, which is a little over-the-top, is an expression of Nathan’s love for me.

"Let me put it on you." Crew takes the bracelet and clasps it around my wrist. He raises my hand to his lips and kisses it. "It’s going to be hard for Doc to top diamonds. See what he’s got up his sleeve, sweetheart."

"It’s not a competition."

"Says you." Crew grins.

I pluck out Michael’s note when Crew hands me the second box.

You’re everything I’ve been waiting for.

And we lived happily ever after.

I love you,

Michael

It’s a hardback book with gold foil and sprayed edges of the greatest love poems ever written. I hug it to my chest with a heartfelt sigh. Michael gets me and he understands me sometimes even before I understand myself. I love him so deeply.

"Now I know what I’m up against," Crew says. "I’m feeling hot-air balloon when we get married someday."

That makes me laugh. "I don’t think so. This girl’s feet are staying firmly on the ground."

"That’s not what happened last night." He tugs on one of my curls. "I seem to remember your feet on Nathan’s shoulders."

"Stop." I blush. In spite of the morning sickness early in the day, at night I’ve been extra needy when it comes to sex. Fortunately, I have three guys happy to indulge me, even if Crew is being oddly cautious.

I don’t know if it’s the pregnancy or the upcoming commitment ceremony, but he’s been uncharacteristically tentative in bed for the last two weeks. Like I might break.

I’m not going to worry about that right now though. Especially since he nuzzles into my neck and kisses me. "Nope. Never going to stop."

We’re kissing passionately, Michael’s book pressed between us, when Luna returns. "Break it up. It’s time to walk down the aisle."

Crew pulls back and gives me a wink. "I’ll see you out there."

I lift my hand to wipe my lipstick from his mouth. "See you soon."

When he slips through the door, Luna eyes me. "You okay?"

I nod again, throat tight. I know she’s asking about Crew and how a family of four can operate out of tandem, but I don’t want to talk about it right now. I just want to get married to the two men who are on the same page as me at this moment. We’re still Cookie & Co. Even when things change around us, even if our timeline is a little wacky, even if we add one little baby to our ‘company’, it’s still us at the center.

"I’m fantastic. Look what Nathan gave me." I hold up my wrist. "And this is from Michael." I lift the book to my nose and breathe deeply. I love the smell of books. Then I set it down on the vanity table next to my makeup bag. "I’m ready."

When the double doors are opened for me by two of the Racketeers players, Blake Wilder and Jack Hayes, looking dashing in their tuxedos, I take a deep breath and just take in the sight before me, trying to absorb it all.
