“Shit, I should—” I say, trying to move out of the bed.

“Do not even think about leaving this bed, Delilah Antonia Carluccio-Russo.” I smile at the use of my full name and the way he smiles saying it. “I think I owe you a wedding,” he says, and my smile widens to the point where it almost hurts my face.

“Yeah. You do.”

“A big one.”

“Huge,” I say in a whisper.

“But first, Lake George. We need a vacation.”

EPILOGUE

-Six months later-

-Lilah-

“Baby, you already had a bachelorette party,” Dante says, watching me pull thigh-high tights on, my thumbs running the line of the lace until they lie flat. “Why do you need another?” I stop and stare at the man who, technically speaking, is already my husband, and tip my head to the side.

“Dante, are you telling me that if I wanted seventeen bachelorette parties, you wouldn’t be making me complex Pinterest boards to decide all seventeen destinations and their themes?”

“I don’t even know what Pinterest is.” I raise an eyebrow because we both know that’s not the point. He takes two steps closer to me as I slip on a pair of sky-high heels and then takes both of my hands, pulling me up until I’m right against him. One arm wraps my waist, and the other goes to my chin, tipping it up until I’m looking at him, his eyes dark and serious. “But yeah. I would.” I smile.

I knew that answer, of course.

“But if you don’t go, I could bury my face in your pussy all night and make you scream my name until your voice is hoarse.” His head dips, licking the spot under my ear and then blowing on it.

God, this man.

“But you’ll do that anyway when I get home,” I say, my voice shaky. His arm around my waist tugs me in closer until I can feel how he’s hard in his slacks, not having changed after a day at the club.

“But I could do it now.” The way his voice goes low sends vibrations from his chest to mine, our bodies lined up perfectly, and it takes everything in me to push him away until he steps back.

“Give me this, honey. I want the whole nine.”

“You’re having a wedding with four hundred people attending and three outfit changes.” I raise an eyebrow. “And a month-long honeymoon.” I tip my head and he shakes his, staring at the ceiling in a very familiar move.

I smile, my red lips pulling as I do.

“Exactly,” I say, confirming that I know without a shadow of a doubt that I will always get whatever I want with this man. He’s still shaking his head as he smiles, pulling me in and speaking with his lips against mine, brushing there.

“This is going to be my life, isn’t it?” he asks.

“What?” I say in a whisper.

“You giving me puppy-dog eyes, gettin’ whatever you want.”

“Would you want it any other way?” I ask.

“Not even for a moment.” He presses his lips to mine before stepping away and turning me so my back is to him and I’m facing the door, slapping my ass. “Now go before I lose all will to let you and fuck you all night long, keeping you away from your party.”

“I love you, Dante,” I say over my shoulder, blowing a kiss to him.

“And I you, fiorella. Now go. Keep me updated, please,” he says.

“Always,” I reply, thinking of just how I would like to keep him updated.
