Darah has to shout the last words, because Kaithria starts screaming and kicking, as the warriors drag her out of the room. Kaithria's ear-piercing screams are heard in the entire castle, and I suppose outside of it, too.

'Elsie, I am really sorry for this,' Darah says. 'Calem, I am sorry to you, too,' he adds. 'But I want to apologize to your fiancée, as it was her who was accused of being an evil witch. I am sorry for believing her, Elsie forgive me for my naive attitude.'

I smile and nod, saying: 'Everyone can make mistakes in this life, Darah. What I always do is forgive everyone. I also make mistakes from time to time, and my expectations are always that I will be forgiven for my mistakes, big and small, just like I forgive everyone if they need my forgiveness.'

Darah smiles happily that there are no longer unpleasant conversations between us.

'Right now and right here, I am giving you consent to get married, and I will be happy to present you some of my lands as a wedding gift.'

I and Calem look at each other, his eyes shining from happiness. I am sure that my eyes are also shining from happiness, and it gets reflected in his eyes. We stay that way for some time, until I realize that everyone has left my bedroom, and we are alone here, looking at each other, as if for the very first time.

Chapter 16

Calem

We go down to the dining room to have breakfast. Darah is also there. He starts talking about our marriage.

'What have you decided? Where will the wedding take place?' He asks me.

'We have not decided the details yet,' I tell him. 'At first, we need to speak with Megan, Elsie's sister, as well as with Sloan, and to see what they are thinking about this.'

'Yes, their opinion is very important for us,' Elsie says joyfully, happy that her sister will soon learn the good news.

'I am ready to host the wedding party at my castle, if you wish it to happen here,' Darah says. 'Everyone is ready for the wedding, and everyone will be happy to attend.'

'Thank you very much, we really appreciate it,' I say, as Elsie nods, smiling.

After breakfast, I and Elsie go to my bedroom to writer Megan and Sloan. Elsie is sure that Megan will want the wedding to take place at Bedigalhall Castle, it is her family's home and her parents would have wanted her to get married there.

'And what do you want, my sunshine?' I ask her.

'I want it, too,' she says, smiling. 'I think that Bedigalhall castle is already a good place, and thinking that my uncle is not there with his men, makes it even a better place.'

'Then we will celebrate our wedding in the Bedigalhall Castle,' I agree, hugging her.

'When do you think is the best time for the wedding, my love?' Elsie asks me. 'I have not thought about the date and time.'

'Nor have I,' I answer. 'Let's think about it now. It will be a pleasant conversation.'

She giggles and cuddles close to me.

'We can go to Bedigalhall castle, stay there for a week, and get ready,' Elsie suggests. 'One week is enough for everyone to get ready. And then, in a week, we can have our wedding.'

'Are there special guests that you want to attend?' I ask her. 'Darah will come, Megan, Sloan, as well as some of Sloan's cousins. Is there anyone else that you would like to see besides the relatives?'

'Yes, I want Skena to come and live with me wherever I go to live,' she says. 'She is in one of the villages, getting treated for the wounds, but I remember that she wanted to find a good husband. I think we will find her a good husband if she comes with us.'

'You are so kind, my sunshine,' I say, caressing her long blond hair. 'I will send Achaius to the village – he knows where she is, as he has taken her there himself – and he will make sure that Skena also attends our wedding ceremony.'

Elsie hugs me tightly, taking a deep breath. 'I am so happy. I cannot wait for that day to come.'

'Until that day, there will be other beautiful and happy days, my love,' I say. 'We are leaving for Bedigalhall in the evening, with our warriors and a carriage. Darah will give you a servant who will take care of you during the trip. This time, the trip will be a pleasant one. We will reach Bedigalhall in about three days, and then we will start getting ready for our wedding.'

Elsie smiles and gently takes my hand. Good days are waiting for us.

Elsie

I am ready for the trip. There is nothing for me to pack, as I have nothing with me. I have my earasaid, which is on me, so there is nothing else that I must take care about. My horse is going to get attached to the carriage, along with all the other horses, and the warriors are going to ride their horses, accompanying the carriage. The coachman and the servant are provided by Darah who has come to the front yard of the castle to see us go.
