Alora said something in rapid, soft French that I had no hope of ever understanding, then Lady Storm replied in a gentle voice before turning to me. “My kitten informs me that she had a great deal of fun with you, and she would very much like it if you would join us one day in the High Protocol Salon.” She must have seen my look of confusion because she smiled as she helped Alora out of our nest of pillows and limbs. “Have your Daddy explain it to you. And, thank you, again, Skyler for taking care of my kitten. She was feeling irritated for being banned from High Tea, even though she knows why she deserves it, and I was hoping she’d find someone to play with to sweeten her disposition. Now, we must be off. Isabella, it was lovely to meet you. I do hope we are able to spend time together in the future.”

Alora leaned over the edge of the giant bed and gave me a gentle kiss on the cheek before whispering, “I hope we get to play together again soon.”

After they left, I felt a little clearer headed and chilly. With a shiver, I looked around for my t-shirt, then startled when Tyler slipped his discarded jacket around my bare shoulders. He looked over my head and said in a loud but calm voice, “I need a heated blanket over here.”

I tried to giggle as I shivered, but it came out sounding weird. “Sorry, for some reason I get cold after a scene.”

“Adrenaline crash,” Tyler said simply as he helped me pull my shorts back in place. A man in a suit and the black and gold mask of the staff approached us with a blue blanket. “Here we go.”

After Tyler had me swaddled up in the delicious warmth and held tight in his arms, I felt like I’d died and gone to heaven. The fabric of the blanket was just blissful against my overly sensitive skin, and the chill that seemed to radiate from my stomach unclenched a little. Tyler kissed my forehead, then rubbed his nose over my face as if he was nuzzling me. It was such an affectionate gesture that I couldn’t help but close my eyes and smile.

“This is nice,” I mumbled. “Thank you.”

“I’m glad you think so,” came Tyler’s deep, rumbling voice.

“Thank you. It seems insufficient but thank you. I’ve never had anyone put me first before. I mean, like—I don’t know what I’m trying to say. I just want you to know that I appreciate you.”

“You are too fucking adorable,” Tyler murmured as I smuggled closer, his human burrito, and lost myself in listening to his heartbeat.

Chapter 5

Tyler

Lifting a passed-out Nora into my arms, I ignored the looks and whispers that followed in our wake as we exited the room. It was still relatively early, but Nora was out like a light and not waking up any time soon. I intended to take Nora back to my office, so she could sleep in the small bedroom I had attached to my workspace. All upper management employees of the club had a setup like mine. Back in the day, what became our offices were originally visitor suites. When the club had been remodeled and updated over time, the guest rooms had been turned into luxurious office suites. The board of Club Wicked believed in treating their staff very, very well.

Good enough to keep those that worked here both happy and loyal.

One of my men, Sabastian, trailed discreetly behind me as I made the walk from the still roaring Playhouse to the much quieter atmosphere of the gardens between the main building and the little’s palace.

I’d walked this perfectly paved stone path a thousand times, but never with this feeling of both elation and frustration. My dick still throbbed, and I was fairly sure I’d cum a bit in my pants when Nora had climaxed so hard her eyes rolled back in her head while Alora feasted on her. The memory combined with the feel of her in my arms made me rather impatient, and when one of the members tried to talk to me, I growled at them, then jerked my head in Sabastian’s direction.

Laughter and the sounds of people having a good time echoed in the U-shaped courtyard behind the main building of Club Wicked. A long, narrow, shallow pond ran down the length of the courtyard, with small fountains that had artistic lights throwing shimmering shadows on the crowd. For a second, I slipped back into work mode, scanning the scene to make sure everyone was behaving. I was about to activate my communications link before I remembered I was here as a civilian tonight.

Donya, another one of my guards and a beautiful black woman married to a club member, joined me a few moments later. Like the rest of the staff, she wore the distinctive gold and black employee mask, but she’d paired hers with a classic little black dress instead of a suit. Since she worked the front desk of the club, the management wanted her to reflect a little softer vibe than, say, me greeting people as they arrived.
