It’s then I know, my heart and head coming to the conclusion at the same time. No matter what happens, I’m not walking away.

Chapter 7

Greer

“Miss Palmer, I assume?” Greyson Lynch rises from the leather lounger, flashing me his million-dollar smile.

“Please, call me Greer.” I take his hand quickly, returning his smile and realizing how much more handsome he is in person than on television.

Greyson Lynch has rapidly become one of New York’s most eligible bachelors with hordes of women vying for his attention. He’s been described as a Hollywood celebrity mix between Ryan Reynolds and Chris Pine. The ratings for his news program have skyrocketed in the last few months, catapulting his local and national fame.

Seeing him close up and off camera, he’s gorgeous. His crystal blue eyes sparkle so bright I’m momentarily stunned until Haley pokes me gently in the back.

“This is my assistant, Haley.” I drop his hand and step to the side to introduce her.

He shakes her hand as well and then looks back to me. “You ready to help me look good?”

“Oh, I don’t think you have to worry about that.” I laugh softly and refer to my notes. “I thought we’d start here in the men’s section so I can get your measurements and pull items. We’ll get a feel for what you like and dislike. Once we have a few key pieces, we’ll go back to my office to discuss some specifics. Does that sound okay?”

“Sounds great. I’ve added a few events to my social calendar that will require formalwear.”

“Black tie?”

“Yes.”

It’s my turn to smile wide. I love fitting men for tuxedos. It’s one of the things that takes me back to being a little girl and watching my mom and dad get ready for formal events. Dad always let me do his tie and praised my efforts. I later found out he’d redo my mess once the driver picked him up, but it meant something special to me.

“You’re in good hands, Greyson.”

“I have no doubt.” He winks.

“Let’s get those measurements.” I give Haley my folder, and she hands me my measuring tape.

I lead Greyson to a raised platform, since he’s so much taller, and start with his neck. Haley writes down each measurement as I call them out. After I have what I need, we walk around the men’s section, pulling everything from business formal to casual wear.

The whole time, Greyson flirts relentlessly. Even picking out something as simple as a tie makes me blush. I try to keep it professional, but when Haley joins in the fun, making a comment about his eligible bachelor status, I burst into laughter.

I don’t have many male clients, and the ones I do are usually husbands or older men. None of them have ever been this fun.

“Go try the blue suit on to give me a sense of how it fits.” I point to the dressing room.

“Can you help me, to make sure I get it on right?” He wiggles his eyebrows.

“I think you’ve worn a suit before.”

“But it would be so much more fun to have help.”

“Go!” I point toward the door, trying to keep a straight face.

He chuckles, disappearing into the room.

“Have I mentioned how much I love my job?” Haley comes to my side and throws an arm around my shoulders.

“Have I mentioned I can’t wait to have you full-time?”

“Is it always like this?”

“It’s a different story with each client. Greyson has been a delight.”
