“You know what I mean. I still don’t think of you as famous.”

“I don’t think of me as famous either. The whole celebrity thing is weird.” He shrugged. “It comes in handy getting hot women out of work, but other than that, it’s not always so great.”

He nuzzled her. Kissing the soft spot at the curve of her neck.

“Just so we’re clear about the reason I didn’t know who you were, was because I was drunk for the better part of my twenties.”

“If you want me to spank for you that, I will, but you seem to be doing a great job flogging yourself for it now.”

She turned scarlet red at the mention of a spanking. It embarrassed her but she couldn’t get rid of the goofy grin plastered to her face. He didn’t miss it, of course.

“Note to self. Remember to bring up spanking later,” he said.

Cara coughed.

He continued, “Seriously, at least you know where you were in your twenties. Lots of us make poor choices. You’re not there now, right?”

She stopped and thought about it. A great big smile crossed her face.

“Oh, my gosh, no, I’m not,” she answered with glee.

“There you go,” he replied, wrapping his arms around her.

“Thanks for making me see the positive.” She gave him a come-hither glance. “I was thinking I could shower before we leave. You want to join me?” she asked sensually.

“Just about every minute since I met you,” he said lovingly.

Cara was a tidy person, and that made her thankful. After David’s wise perspective, she started getting grateful about the small things, like she could bring a hot famous rockstar to her humble abode w

ith no notice, and it looked its best.

While she threw a few things into the bag, David tested her sloshy waterbed.

“Really?” he asked with a grin. “A waterbed?”

“It came with the place. It’s the only piece of furniture that’s not mine.”

“Oh?” he replied suggestively.

“I moved in here almost six months ago. I guess I could get another bed.”

“Six months ago? After you broke up with shit for brains?” he asked.

She laughed again. That happened a lot around him.

“Yes,” she said. “I—yes.”

“Ah, tell me.” He took her hand.

“When I got back on my feet, I lived in my parent’s basement. I was seeing him, and I thought once I could get a place of my own, we would get one together.”

With a big smile, David said, “And he dumped you.”

He made her giggle at her break up.

“Stop it,” she said.

And with that he grasped at her in ticklish spots. She dodged him, but he didn’t let up.
