So I raised my eyebrow at Mason.
“Yo,” was my grunt.
“What?” he asked, a smug grin on his face, clearly thinking the same thing.
“You think Katy’s on it?”
I wiggled my tongue. He knew what that meant.
“Only one way to find out.”
“True.”
And when I looked up, the brunette staring at both of us, clearly confused by what was going on. Most women loved it when we acted out, but sweet Kitty-Kat just didn’t get it. She was naïve and innocent, a virgin in every respect.
“What are you talking about?” came her soft voice.
“Don't worry about it, Kitty-Kat,” Nick growled softly, eyes devouring the little girl.
Shit, he was going to fuck things up.
But who was I kidding?
Hunger ruled my stare as well. Plus, the bulge at my crotch was enormous now, the tip practically poking out from the waistband.
Who was doing the scaring now?
“Yeah, relax, Kitty-Kat. Ignore them,” Mason drawled casually like it was no big deal.
But the girl couldn’t relax. I could practically read the thoughts going through her mind.
Why are they checking me out?
I didn’t try to bring any attention to myself. Look at these khakis for God’s sake! They’re hideous!

The thoughts were as plain as day on her face and I loved it. So many girls who came our way were hiding shit.

A hunger for money.
A desire to be famous.
But Katy was different.
This girl was as transparent as new glass. Every thought and feeling was etched onto that soft, expressive face.

And after another nervous glance at us, Katy went back to the Helena-mandated clipboard. Nervously, she tucked a lock of her curly brown hair behind her ear. The blush on her cheeks and the way her eyes darted told a different story.
