Eden grinned as he straightened my hat. “This has been quite the day—first my granddad got hitched, then we became homeowners, and now we’ve found out we’re cat dads.”
I asked, “How can we possibly top that?”
He rubbed his chin and tried to look like he was seriously contemplating the question. “I seem to recall the idea of shagging being introduced right before the feline fracas.”
We paused for a moment, and then I shouted, “Race you to the bedroom!” Both of us were laughing as we sprinted across our living room and took the stairs two at a time.
