Oh God.

Ty used his body to hold him steady and took both hands and moved Kell’s hair from hanging over his face, so he was looking him in his eyes, “Tell me you want that too. Tell me it’s what you’ve been waiting for.”

“Yes,” Kell said without pause. He let Ty kiss him into oblivion before he set him down in the chair. He was glad when he’d moved away, because Kell was only seconds from coming in his pants and only further solidifying his virgin status.

Ty went over to the desk and picked up a book from beside the hotel phone and handed it to him. He almost dropped it, his mouth was salivating so much at Ty’s lewd dick imprint.

“Here. Order us some breakfast, please. You know what I like.” Ty went into the bedroom and closed the door. He came back out five minutes later wearing a pair of thick denims and a daggone turtleneck. Covering all that delicious skin and muscles.

Ty

His shorty had him wide open. From the second he’d seen Kell step out of the elevator, his necklace gleaming against his ivory skin, he’d been hard. And it had taken every ounce of willpower he had not to drag Kell straight to that hotel bed and love him until sweat drenched their bodies. But that wasn’t the plan. While his hotel suite was nice, Kell deserved better than a quick, horny romp in a bed that probably hundreds of other men had used. Forget that. Nothing but the best for his heart.

He almost busted out laughing when he came out and Kell got a look at his conservative outfit. That peach, pouty mouth morphing into a disappointed grimace was almost his undoing. The turtleneck may’ve been a bit much, but he didn’t want to tease Kell. It was difficult enough waiting, wanting, but still having to be around each other, think cleverly and work effectively together.

Ty already had everything organized and laid out on the dining table. Ford had sent a shit load of information on both their jumpers. The blueprint of the club and even the back and side streets. Kell was intently reading over their first guy’s statement he’d given to the police.

“This guy really is a dreamer. He just wants his chance at fame,” Kell said softly.

There was his fiancé’s huge heart. “He sure does. And we’re gonna use that.”

“Oh boy. I should’ve known.” Kell shook his head. He knew how Ty felt about people who broke the law for selfish, meaningless reasons. He’d made no secret of it. He had very little to no sympathy for most criminals.

“I can see your pretty eyes over there watching me, wanting me to feel sorry for this punk but I don’t and I won’t, Kell. Did you know that the radio personality he assaulted was a female? DJ Reign Supreme is a woman, and he had the fuckin grit to mush her in her face and make her fall off the platform and fracture her ankle. All because she didn’t pick his song. So, if you wanna feel sorry for him, shorty, then you go right ahead. Me. ’I’ma help his ass get a record deal with the penal corrections new label.”

“Oh.” Kell frowned. “The DJ was a she?”

“Yes. But that shouldn’t matter. So stop wasting your precious compassion on him,” Then Ty grumbled, “And he ain’t that good of a rapper either. Everything I heard was whack.”

Kell chuckled. “Whack? Do you listen to a lot of rap music?”

“Yeah. I love rap. I like to listen to real lyricist though. Not that ‘bitches ain’t shit’ mess that our jumper was rapping about.”

Kell inched forward, “Can I ask you a personal question?”

Ty playfully rolled his eyes. “No, I don’t know who killed Biggie or Tupac. Black people don’t know either.”

As he’d hoped, Kell shoved at him, exploding with laughter. He could already see he was going to have to sway Kell’s mind away from the negative aspects of the job to protect his sensitive heart. He just hoped he had enough jokes.

While quietly reading over more of the files, their room service arrived. Ty took the tray and signed the billfold, handing it back to the server. The smell of food quickly permeated the living area of the suite. He lifted the silver domes to see what Kell had chosen for them. His stomach rumbled at the steaming veggie omelets, the apple Danish, and the platter of citrus fruit.

Kell came up beside him and began preparing both their plates.

“Looks really good. Thank you.” Ty kissed his cheek and sat back down. They ate and worked at the same time.

After a few hours of silence, Kell started, “I’ve read over everything, twice, but I…”

“What, shorty?”

“I have no plan. I’ve been reading files for two hours and I have nothing.”
