“Miss Dawn.” Stephen greeted me with a head nod and opened the car door.

“You don’t have to take me home, Stephen. I can go by myself.”

“No. He’ll take you home.” Xander demanded behind me.

“Or I can take you with my bike.” Alex offered.

“Wait! You have a bike?” I asked him excitedly and he nodded.

“Okay. Let’s go with the bike,” I grinned like a Cheshire cat.

“Wait a sec.” Alex said and ran back home.

“Are you sure you wanna go on a bike? It’s cold outside.” Xander said, not happy with my decision. That was pretty clear on his grumpy but gorgeous face.

“It’s been years since I was on a bike. Bike or bus, you decide.”

“Fine,” he growled and nodded his head to Stephen.

“Will you go to the club tomorrow? Won’t you come home?” Xander asked. It wasn’t his question made me go to him. It was the way he said it.

He wasn’t making eye contact with me. These moments…the moments he tried to hide his feelings were the ones that gave me the most information about him and his emotions.

“It is my home, Xander.”

“Is it? Still?” he asked slowly after he turned his hypnotizing eyes at me.

He was right.

That place, the one I called home for over a year, didn’t feel like home anymore. But when I was with them, in this house, it was the closest I felt home after years.

“I’ll be home tomorrow night, after club,” I said as an answer.

“C’mon biker girl. Let’s go.” Alex came with a spare leather jacket for me and passed us to get his bike.

I stood on my tiptoes and kissed Xander sweetly. He was always complaining about my sweet kisses but this time he let me kiss him the way I wanted it.

“Don’t work so much,” I whispered against his lips. My eyes were still closed because of the lingering feeling of his lips on mine.

“If you don’t want me to barge in to your girls’ night, I’d better work,” he murmured.

Did that mean he would miss me enough to interrupt our night? I smiled at the thought.

“See you soon,” I said and turned my back to him when I heard the bike in the driveway. The bike was shiny black with electric blue strips on its sides. The roar of it was rough and powerful; giving me a thrilling excitement.

“Why didn’t you put your jacket on yet, babe?” Alex asked and stood in front of me.

“Let me put this on for you,” he pointed the helmet after I put on the jacket. The jacket was big but it immediately helped me get warmer.

Alex pecked me on the lips and put my helmet on for me.

“I hate that I won’t see you for two days.” Alex muttered.

“Hey! I’ll come back, okay? This girl needs some girls’ time,” I said softly. I couldn’t help but feeling like I was telling them goodbye. It was all their faults that I felt like that.

“Will you?” Alex asked.

“Will I what?”
