I felt the dizziness start when we stepped outside. I pulled my phone out from my purse and noticed a dozen missed calls from Xander.

I wanted to call him back but the ground slipped under my feet.

“Violet? Are you okay?” Will asked and grabbed my arm to support me.

“Yeah…Just…I’m feeling dizzy. The club, dark-”

Before the darkness took control of my body, the last thing I saw was Will’s devilish smirk.

UNKNOWN

I hated waiting…

Time was ticking and I wasn’t happy that I couldn’t have what I wanted, yet. But I would…I had to.

The beast inside me was ready to cause damage, to corrupt everything I’d built for myself.

The thirst I felt was getting stronger each day—thirst for blood, desire for cries, lust for screams…

Yet, she was haunting me everywhere, smiling, laughing, dancing, daring me—still shining bright. My hands itched to take away her light.

I was done waiting.

No more waiting.

Time to have what I wanted.

ALEX

I massaged my neck after sitting in the same position in my desk. As I look at Angel’s photos in hope to find something, I noticed every photo had some letters in it.

I, L, H, S, F, N, R, A, I

I couldn’t put them into any meaning but I kept scribing letters that caught my attention.

R, A, M, D, C, E, I, O, H, N

I was always so bad at these kinds of riddles. When I couldn’t make sense out of the letters I walked to Xander’s study and hoped he could figure something out.

“You need to check these letters. Take a look if they fucking mean anythi-” I stopped middle of the sentence when I heard Xander’s outburst.

“Fuck! Answer your phone, Flame. Damn it!”

“What the hell? What happened?” I asked and noticed the investigator was in the room as well. He looked nervous.

My eyes darted from Xander to Fabien. I wanted someone to answer my question.

“Fuck!” Xander hit his fist to the desk.

“We need to go to the club. Now, Alex. Now!” Xander shouted at me and stormed out from the room.

“Dawn is in danger in that club. We need to get her out.” Xander told me while walking in hurry. He and Fabien were getting in the car.

“I’m following you with the bike. If there is traffic that will be faster,” I called after him.

It turned out the way I assumed. Traffic was crowded as hell and flowing slowly for a car but didn’t affect my bike.
