I barged into the club even though the bodyguard tried to stop me. I roamed my gaze around the bar, but there was no sign of Dawn. Panting in panic, I spotted the bartender behind the bar and headed toward him.

“Hey, dude. I’m Alex, remember? Where is Violet? Did you see her today?” I asked urgently.

“Oh, hey man. Violet came here today but left with Will,” he said, looking as disgusted as me with the idea of her leaving with that douchebag.

“Fuck,” I mumbled.

“Thanks, man. If she comes back, tell her to call me, okay? As soon as possible,” I called out over my shoulder while leaving the club.

Xander and Fabien were nowhere to be seen, I called my brother.

“Tell me you got her.” Xander answered the phone at the first ring.

“No. She isn’t here. She left with fucking Will,” I shouted.

I was angry. No, I was freaking out. Dawn had been looking for her sister for almost two years and if she disappeared just like her sister did…

I wasn’t able to breathe.

“Alex…we need to find her.” Xander whispered.

I knew what he was feeling. I knew he learned something bad about the club and he must be feeling worse than me.

“We will. We have to,” I whispered back.

“I made someone track her phone. Wait, he must be calling. I’ll call you back,” he said and ended the call.

Ten horrible minutes later Xander sent me an address and I broke at least five traffic rules as I was took off to the road.

“If you’re there man, please don’t let anything happen to her,” I sent a prayer while riding faster than ever.

DAWN aka VIOLET

I was confused. I didn’t know where I was for a few seconds. Then, everything slowly came back to me but the heavy feeling in my head didn’t dissipate. I tried to move my hands unsuccessfully and all I could feel was numbness.

I tried to hear something, listening to everything around me carefully. I focused on my senses rather than my body. I couldn’t move a muscle, anyway.

We were moving; the car was bumping on the road and I smelled the leather of a car seat.

I was still in Will’s car.

Fucking Will!

And my fucking stupidity!

I forced myself to open my eyes, even though I wasn’t sure whether it would work. When my eyes opened I felt relief wash over me. There wasn’t anything to see, though. All I could see was trees with snow on them. You wouldn’t see snow on the trees in the city. I assumed we were driving up. We must have been on a mountain road.

I heard a ring tone and tried to continue breathing normally. I wasn’t sure if he could hear me but letting him know I was awake wasn’t the risk I was willing to take.

“What?” Will snapped to the line.

“Yes, we’re on the road,” he said.

“Yes, I’m getting her to you, you sick bastard,” he snapped at the phone and threw it on the passenger seat.

Who was he taking me to? Mike?

My body was like a ragdoll, bumping at every movement of the car. My muscles were useless and my mind was consumed by the numbness.
