“Yes, sort of. We’re staying in a separate cottage on the property.”

“And will we see her tonight?”

He turns and shoots me a Cheshire cat grin. “Eager to get me alone, little one?”

I can’t stop the blush from creeping up my cheeks. “Don’t you want the rest of your Christmas present?”

“I’m quite keen for the rest of it, actually. Doesn’t mean I haven’t got my own plans for you.”

I press my thighs together to relieve the ache that’s been growing inside me. Sometimes, I don’t feel whole without Julian’s domination. My Daddy is what’s held me together these last few weeks. Submitting to him every night gave me the strength to face Stephanie and to power through the grueling finals and essays.

Cookies also helped. But mostly, it was Julian.

Being back in England with him almost seems surreal. We make small talk as we drive along the highway. He tells me he’ll take me to Stratford-upon-Avon and Oxford, which is exciting, but honestly, I’m content to just be with him freely. There’s no sneaking around or hiding. We can be ourselves and be together without risking someone reporting him to the Board of Directors.

“Do you have any brothers or sisters?” I ask casually.

“Only child, I’m afraid. Which means my mum might be a tad unbearable when we arrive,” he explains.

“Overprotective?” I guess.

“No, overeager. I haven’t brought many women home to meet her.”

“Oh.” I don’t know why that surprises me. Maybe because it’s still so hard for me to believe a man like Julian hasn’t been claimed by another woman. “Why me?”

“Don’t you know, little one? You’re mine, forever.”
