“Good thing you have me, then.” He plants a gentle kiss on my cheek as we enter the classroom.
A low growl brings my attention toward the front of the class, and I lock eyes with Samuel. If looks could kill, Alec would drop dead right at this moment. Our staring contest is interrupted by Alec. “Let’s sit together today. I’ll make sure you stay awake.”
I give him a shy smile and follow him to a pair of empty seats. Once we’re seated, Samuel immediately begins class.
I spend most of the class watching Samuel for any sign as to what could be wrong, but there’s nothing. Not once does he look in my direction or even make eye contact with me. Finally, I chalk his frustration up to me slapping him last night, which is understandable. However, I won’t apologize for it.
“Make sure you study your notes from this week. We’ll have another quiz on Thursday. If you have questions, you know when I have my office hours.”
The sound of Samuel dismissing class cause me to jump in my seat.
“Someone fall asleep during class?” Alec snickers next to me as he packs up his books.
“No, I was just thinking about the quiz. Sounds like it’s going to be hard.” My cheeks instantly heat in embarrassment.
“No need to worry. We’ll study together.”
“Thank you so much, Alec. You know how hopeless I am in this class.”
We make our way toward the door when Samuel places his hand on my arm.
“Avery, I need to discuss something with you. Can you stay after class, please?”
I turn toward him, but his face gives nothing away.
“Sorry, Alec. I’ll call you later and we can set up a time to study.”
“Okay, I’ll talk to you later.” Alec gives me a wave before heading toward the door.
I turn to Samuel. “What is it you want to speak to me about?”
There is no need to waste time. The less time I spend here with him, the better.
Without a word, he steps around me and heads toward the door.
“Just tell me what you want. I have things to do.”
As the door clicks shut, Samuel’s voice fills the empty room.
“Someone needs to be taught a lesson.” He quickly turns and heads directly toward me.
The air in the room becomes charged with something I can’t explain.
“What the fuck are you talking about, Samuel? I won’t fuck you in here!” I squeal as I walk backward.
“I explained to you how this was going to work. Your pussy belongs to me now, little girl.”
He continues to stalk toward me, and I have nowhere left to go. I’m backed against the wall of the lecture hall.
“There is no sense in running from me. You’re mine.” He lets out a predatory growl, and the sound sends a shiver through my body.
“I told you I belong to no one. You got what you wanted from me. Now leave me alone.” I stand up straight and go to step around him, but his arm shoots out and grasps my wrist.
“Daddy hasn’t excused you, little girl.”
I try to pull my arm free, but his hand tightens.
“Have a seat. Daddy has a few things to explain to you.”
