I kiss the top of her head. “You forgot kinky. If you won’t feast on my cock for breakfast, can you order us some food while I email Jasper?”

* * *

An hour later,my food remains untouched because I can only focus on Jacob Taylor’s duplicity. Turns out, I didn’t have to email Jasper about Ivy’s theory because an email was waiting for me, confirming her suspicion.

Back in the world of the living, Jasper worked his wizardry and tracked down not only the photographer, but also the payments made to the photographer.

They say money talks, and once I offered him more money, he sang like a canary.

Now I need to beat Jacob Taylor’s pretty boy movie star ass.

I stand abruptly, startling Ivy as she sketches quietly beside me. “What’s wrong?”

“You were right. Jacob Taylor is going to die.”

She reaches up and grasps my arm. “Don’t go after him. Tell Nolan.”

I shake my head. “You don’t understand, Ivy. He exposed you to the world. If I hadn’t stopped those photographs from leaking, the entire world would have seen what should be kept private. No one has the right to invade our privacy like that. He needs to learn a very hard lesson.”

“I’m coming with you,” she says as she stands up.

“No. Absolutely not. Just let me handle this.” I give her a hard look that tells her I mean business. “You’re mine, Ivy. I don’t fuck around when someone threatens what belongs to me.”

She flops back down onto the couch and pouts. “Fine. If you’re not back in an hour, I’m calling Nolan.”

I nod once before leaving. She won’t have to wait long. I’ll track the son of a bitch down, punch him right in the face, and then talk to Nolan.

Lucky for me, Jacob Taylor is addicted to social media. He can’t resist posting about himself any chance he gets. From his latest post, I’ve got an idea where he’s hanging out in the midst of this snowstorm…not so lucky for him. I track him back to the hotel bar, the scene of the crime.

“Well, well, well,” he sneers once he spots me stalking toward him. “If it isn’t Hollywood’s king of kink. What can I do for you, Ford?”

“You can fuck off,” I snarl right before I launch my fist into his face.

It collides with his nose, and there’s a sickening crunch as it breaks from the force.

“What the fuck?!”

Blood pours between his fingers as he attempts to cover his nose. He reaches for a linen napkin, but I’m quicker, landing another punch right to his gut.

“You deserve everything that’s coming to you,” I sneer.

He doubles over and grimaces. “What’s wrong with you?”

“What’s wrong with me? What’s wrong with you? How dare you invade my privacy and try to hurt someone innocent?”

He looks up at me, baring his teeth. “You think you’re so fucking special, don’t you? This was supposed to be my movie. I wasn’t supposed to share top billing with you, but Nolan wasn’t satisfied. I wasn’t good enough.”

I place my palm over his shoulder, bringing him closer before jamming my fist back into his stomach. “Why don’t you go cry to your mommy, little boy?”

He shoves me away, distracting me long enough to get in a shot. His fist lands against my jaw, knocking my teeth together.

“Hey!”

Both our heads pop up as the bartender, Charlie, rounds the corner of the bar and rushes toward us.

“What do you two think you’re doing?”

He steps in between us, arms outstretched, as he looks to me for answers.

“Just a misunderstanding is all.”

“Yeah? Time to take your misunderstanding somewhere else,” Charlie reprimands us. “I don’t need a bunch of Hollywood assholes ruining my bar.”

“Gladly.” I attempt to take one step forward, but Charlie’s hand presses hard against my chest. “When I’m done with you, you’ll be lucky if you even have a career left. Stay the fuck away from me and Ivy.”

That's one way to get a movie shut down, I think to myself as I back away and exit the bar.
