EPILOGUE

NOLAN

Six months later

Iclap my hands together as hard as possible, hoping my girl can see me from where she is on stage. It’s finally here: graduation day. I won’t lie. Getting to this point has been a long road, with lots of frequent flier miles racked up along the way.

After the little heart-to-heart Andi and I had with her father, everything seemed to fall into place. The movie we were shooting is getting ready to start up again, no thanks to Jacob Taylor.

It seems Mr. Taylor has a hard time taking no for an answer. He thought it would be a good idea to be the leak on my closed movie set. Once the executives heard about his antics, he was immediately blackballed from Hollywood, and we haven’t heard from him since.

Ford and Ivy are on cloud nine, both ready and waiting to shoot after Andi and I return from London. Ford helped me arrange a trip to the club he likes. Andi is a little on the adventurous side, and since we’re not hiding our relationship, what my girl wants, she gets.

“Stop thinking about all the ways you’re going to have sex with my little girl. I can hear your thoughts all the way over here,” Bruce growls to my left.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” I chuckle as Rebekah’s tiny hand reaches out and squeezes his arm.

“Stop it, you two. Today is about Andi. It’s not every day a girl gets the job of her dreams and graduates with honors.”

Bruce grumbles something, but doesn’t continue giving me a hard time. I mouth a thank you in her direction before turning back to watch Andi descend the stage with her diploma.

It isn’t long before the ceremony is over, and we’re all huddled together waiting for Andi.

“My little girl is all grown up now.” Bruce claps me on the shoulder as we both search through the seas of people.

“She’s been grown up for a while, Bruce.”

“I know. Don’t push it. I don’t want to murder you before you can make an honest woman out of her.”

“I’ll try my best, but you know neither of us is really into the whole marriage thing. We’re committed to each other, but if she wants a ring to prove how much I love her, then she’ll get one.”

“And that statement right there is why I haven’t murdered you yet for sleeping with my daughter,” Bruce chuckles before heading back to Rebekah.

Suddenly, I see her running in my direction.

“Nolan! I did it.” she screeches as I pick her up and spin her in a circle.

“Congratulations, Andi.” I stop spinning and lean down, pressing a gentle kiss on her lips.

Andi taps me on the shoulder. “I have an issue only you can help me with.”

“I’m not having sex with you in an auditorium full of people. I have to draw the line somewhere.”

“That’s not it.” She leans back, and I notice the trepidation in her eyes.

I never want her to look at me like this again.

“Tell Daddy what’s wrong. I will do everything in my power to fix it.”

“That’s the thing. What do I call you if I can’t call you ‘Daddy’ anymore?”

I give her a questioning look, hoping for more information.

“Someone else will call you ‘Daddy’ soon. Wouldn’t it be weird if I called you ‘Daddy’ too?”

It takes a moment for my brain to process what she just said.

“Really?” I ask reverently before placing her feet back on the floor. “You’re having a baby?”
