Tears collect at the corners of her eyes as she nods in the affirmative. We both said we didn’t want children, but this unexpected news warms my heart.
A child with Andi? A family of our own? Yes!
“You can still call me Daddy, but only if you’re a good little girl,” I growl before capturing her mouth with mine.
Our kiss is interrupted by Bruce. “Cut it out, you two! You’re in public. Besides, I would like to congratulate the graduate.”
I pull back, leaning my forehead against hers. “Marry me.”
“On one condition. You get to tell Pops he’s going to be a grandfather.” Andi gives me another peck on the lips before unravelling herself from my arms and heading toward Bruce.
“Touché,” I murmur before heading toward my family, my future, and my everything.
Andi and I may not have had the most conventional start, but like they say, you have to work for anything worth having. Andi and I have had to work hard to get where we are today and will need to work harder to keep everything together.
But if there is one thing I know, it’s that nothing in the universe will ever take my little girl away.
