“Of course,” Audrey said. “You’re stuck at your parents’ house, and they probably still don’t have cable. That, and I’m super fun to be around. For a Friday night in Camden, it’s a no-brainer.”

“I don’t know, Audrey.” She wasn’t sure about seeing high school people again. “It’s been so long. Who’s going to be there?”

“No one scary. Maybe ten or so people from our year.”

“Do you think Derek will be there?” Kylie asked.

“He might be.” Audrey sounded suspicious. “But there will be a lot of other people there too. Plus, I already told Steph Harrington you’d be there, and she’s really excited to see you.”

Kylie was warming to the idea of this garage party. “It would be nice to hang out with both of you again, I guess. And see this Nick-and-Jillene business first hand.”

“Well, not exactly the can-do spirit I was hoping for. But I’ll take it. See you Friday.”
