My eyes follow Asa as he drops to one knee and flips open the box, revealing the most gorgeous diamond ring I’ve ever seen. No longer at the microphone, his next words are only for me.
“Taylor Renee Adair. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would find someone as incredible as you. Finding love was never high on my list of things to do, but damned if it didn’t smack me in the face just as hard as your foot landed against my balls the day we met. Please make me the happiest man to ever exist by agreeing to become my wife.”
The last word barely leaves his lips before I’m shouting for the whole world to hear. “Yes!”
Asa is on his feet and I’m scooped up into his arms. His mouth smashes against mine as the auditorium erupts into loud claps and cheers.
I’m breathless by the time he lifts his head.
“You said yes,” he says against my lips.
“Did you doubt I would?” I ask.
“Nope. But hearing that single word come from your lips was still a dream come true.”
I grin down at my rock star god. My obsession. My one and only.
“I guess having a lady boner for you for all those years really paid off.”
He tips his head back and lets out a loud laugh.
